Casanna is situated on the slopes of the Goldra Valley. The villa is set in its own gardens, with fruit trees and grounds of an acre, surrounded by countryside and offers privacy and tranquility although only a 10 minute drive to the vibrant market town of Loule where restaurants, bars and shops are in abundance. The villa is constructed on two levels with the living area being on the upper floor allowing guests to enjoy and appreciate the wonderful panoramic views from the lounge and kitchen. The kitchen is large, fully fitted and very well equipped. The master bedroom is also on the upper floor with french doors opening on to veranda, patio and pool area. This bedroom has a large en-suite. A further two bedrooms can be found downstairs, a large double with en-suite with a patio door and a twin bedded room with two patio doors which has access to a further large bathroom.

Villa Casanna is in an ideal location just on the edge of the quaint old village of Santa Barbara. The village and surrounding area offers a range of excellent restaurants, cafes and places to eat offering everything from local produce to international cuisine. Faro international airport is a 20 minute drive away and offers an ever-growing range of flights worldwide. When you are up in the hills it is hard to believe that it is only a 20 minute drive to Quinta do Lago and Vale do Lobo and the ten best golf courses Portugal has to offer. Villamoura, and Albufeira where golf, water sports. Fishing, go karting and many other attractions can be found. Santa Barbara has all necessary amenities while retaining the charm of a typical Algarvian village. In addition to the church, which is the centrepiece and focal point of the village, Santa Barbara also offers a range of convenient shops, a medical centre, a dentist, a pharmacy, a bank, a post office and a petrol station.

We took our 4 daughters, aged 12 - 20 years to this villa a couple of weeks ago and had one our best holidays ever. The villa itself is in a beautiful, peaceful location on a hillside with wonderful views but within a short drive of the airport, large towns, beach and nightlife/tourist attractions (including Zoomarine where our youngest daughter got to swim with dolphins). The villa is very spacious and beautifully furnished - inside and out - and equipped with everything you could possibly wish for (including UK items like kettles, toasters, inflatable toys for the wonderful pool etc etc). The welcome pack of food items/essentials and information booklet was yet another example of the thought that has gone into making this a home-from-home-experience and one that we hope to repeat in the future.

Second visit, even better

This was the first time we'd ever considered returning to a holiday venue and were slightly apprehensive, 12 months later, that our recollections may have been 'rose tinted'. But we didn't need to worry: the location was still idylic, tucked away in the countryside but only a short drive away from the airport, shops and restaurants, the weather was perfect and the local people helpful and welcoming, and this time the beautifully furnished and equipped villa had even more features - I want to live here permanently! If you're looking for a relaxing holiday in a beautiful villa you won't easily beat this.

Just as it says and looks in the advert.Would highly recommend to anyone .Familys or couples.Brilliant location nice and quiet and very relaxing.Margret the mananger was brilliant helped us with everything.Carlos the taxi driver very helpful to.We did not bother with car hire and managed okay using taxis to Loule etc. Prices for taxi's very good. We also found the local people the most frendily and helpful of any country we have visited.This really made this the best holiday ever.The villa and pool are stunning.Bedrooms' kitchen 'and everything else perfect.Local wine and beer and food very cheap at supermarkets.

Beautiful Villa

It was a stunning villa in incredibly beautiful surroundings. Picturesque scenery complimented by the classical design of the Villa made for the perfect holiday. I would thoroughly recommend this part of the Algarve and this particular Villa to anyone. We have already booked up for next June and are quite literally counting down the days until we are relaxing by the amazing pool once more sipping the local beer and relaxing in the peaceful environs. Superb Villa, Superb holiday, Superb Portugal!

Villa Casanna - Luxury & Thoroughly Recommended

We stayed at this wonderful villa in June/July msyelf, my husband and our 19 month old daughter - one of the best European holidays we have ever had. You couldn't wish for more - the villa is absolutely luxurious, with all the gadgets you would find at home, the pool and it's breathtaking view is just awesome. On arrival there was wine, beer and food in the fridge! You are only 15 minutes from the Airport and 5-10 minutes drive from Loule, yet you feel you are a million miles from everyone! A totally relaxing holiday. This is our second holiday to this wonderful villa and we have already booked for 2009. We really did not want to come home!
