GENTLY REMODELED ANTIQUE GREAT FOR EXTENDED FAMILIES - 7/10THS TO BEACH

Dear Steve and Maura,

Now that I have had a few days to reflect on our vacation last week, I wanted to tell you how much we enjoyed our time at your home. Some in our family are more familiar with hotels and resorts and I think they were pleasantly surprised by the overall comfort of the house.

The location is perfect - very central to everywhere we wanted to go (P-town and Falmouth), within close proximity to commodities such as ice cream, seafood and shopping, and easy to find. Because the house is not on the beach, we went to several different beaches and enjoyed them all so that worked for us as well. We also attended a Harwich Mariners game, the Harwich Junior Theater, and went to both Banks Street and Belmont beaches. We liked Corporation beach in Dennis best for the kids and Chatham & Orleans for fishing. Monomoy Island was spectacular with seals to watch, tons of birds, horseshoe crabs, hermit crabs and had the advantage of both surf and bay for swimming.

You've done an amazingly good job at stocking the house with toys and children's amusements, very helpful on those two rainy days. Three TVs with cable and DVD/VCRs enabled everyone to watch their own movies and It was great to have beach chairs and other beach amenities to use - we were already so loaded down that we'd never have been able to fit our own.

I appreciate good linens and towels and you provided both...better than a hotel :-). We are cooks and just loved the kitchens - having two sinks was wonderful and every utensil we needed was there. We brought paper and plastic dishes, glasses and utensils so as not to have to clean up too much, but we did use the dishes and flatware a couple of times and there was plenty for everyone. We enjoyed our casual meals and did use the grill a couple of times.

The high point, I must say, was that outdoor shower! Washing up after a day at the beach in warm water with roses overhead and the sun shining down cannot be beat. Everyone used it and loved it.

Please give us first refusal on the same week for next year as we would like to rent the house again.
