The listing was absolutely accurate in describing the magnificent views of northeastern Lake George. The view of Roger's Rock is breathtaking. The owners were extremely pleasant and prompt in replying to any and all questions and made the whole process quite easy. There was an unexpected change with their house cleaning service, but contacted us immediately and we were able to work out a solution. The two downstairs bedrooms were spacious with double beds and offered dressers and closets. The mattresses were a little rough. The upstairs rooms were smaller and offered twin beds - including one set of built in bunk beds. The half bath upstairs was a definite plus. There were fans in every room. The full bath downstairs offered everything you needed - with the exception of water pressure! Be patient. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans. There was a Weber charcoal grill out back and, although it needed a real good scrubbing, worked like a charm. We had to discipline ourselves to the requirements of recycling and appreciated the bins set up in the kitchen for this purpose. A very small television is located in the living room and cable service was provided. The living room setup is not really conducive to a group watching tv so I would suggest you shift your focus to the view of the lake. The front screened porch was beautiful at any time of the day - morning coffee, afternoon sandwiches or evening meals. We even enjoyed a good rain storm! There were a few drawbacks I feel compelled to remark upon. The road upon which the house is located does indeed say it is a Dead End - but it goes on for a couple of miles. The house sits right on the edge of the road and there is a considerable amount of traffic. There is only enough room to park two vehicles - there is no other space available. I appreciate the photos attempting to present the location as somewhat isolated but that is simply not the case. The lawn across the road is a fairly steep walk and you share the area with close neighbors. There is no easy entry into or out of the water from the dock area. You DO have the option of the public beach just up the road which is just lovely! There are stone steps on either side of the house which are steep and slightly uneven - and with no handrails. I raise these points because navigation would be difficult for anyone with any type of infirmity. None of us could get cell phone service - so we unwired, made ourselves comfortable and had a wonderful time!
