Fun mid-week ski adventure

The condo was just as advertised and pictured. The location was extremely convenient, with a brief walk to the corner of the building to the slope, then a 2 minute ski down to the Village Gondola. Our family loved this, as we only had two days to ski, and wanted to maximize the time on the slopes. As there was a lockbox with a key, we also felt comfortable letting our older children ski back to the condo alone, to rest or begin lunch ahead of our slower crew, with younger child. There was a convenient equipment locker at ground level as well. The highlights of the actual condo were as follows: comfortable sofa that actually accomodated all three of our children (two on the fantastic mattress and one on the straight section that did not fold out--this child chose this location, but could have slept on the thick sleeping mat), a wood-burning fireplace (nice atmosphere), great view of slope so that kids could watch snow cats, well-equipped kitchen, comfortable queen bed, lots of hooks for hanging ski clothes in hallway, boot warmers (enough space for 4 pairs), easy to use TV/DVD/VCR, and convenient, free washer/dryer (we only used dryer to dry out our wet towels after visiting the Recreation center). When we arrived, the unit had just been cleaned, and it was adequate. The owner was easy to work with, extremely helpful, and accomodating. We booked this at the last minute, and he quickly mailed us the parking pass, and emailed all pertinent information. We really enjoyed our time in Northstar.
