LAKESIDE CHALET STYLE APARTMENT WITH GARAGE FOR RENT ON GREAT SACANDAGA LAKE

The pictures and description are completely accurate and Joanna the owner was extremely helpful, accomodating and could not have made the process any easier during our thirteen month stay. The home is immaculately clean and convenient to town while offering a splendid and peaceful view of the Great Outdoors. The setting offers colorful sunsets and splendid winter views, The only regret to leaving this peaceful location is that our project has completed. Without hesitation I recommend this Lakeside Chalet for a week end get-away, vacation, or long term stay.

If you want a beautiful, quiet setting, this is the place. We stayed in the apartment over Presidents Day weekend and went skiing at Lapland Lake resort. The ski area is just a 20-minute drive. The town of Northville has only a couple of restaurants and bars, plus a grocery store and pharmacy, but that was fine with us -- no chain hotels, no crowds. The rental property looks out over the beautiful lake and has all the necessary facilities. The owner is very helpful. We loved it and plan on coming back next winter for more skiing. I imagine it is also lovely in the other seasons.

I have to agree with the other reviewers who have given this location five stars. We have stayed at several locations on the lake, this is by far my favorite. Accommodations were clean and comfortable. All appliances and electronics worked flawlessly and Joanna was a superb host.
We spent most of our time on the beach and lake. The sandy beach offers a gentle sloping entrance with a solid mooring buoy that must weigh several hundred pounds. There is a channel that runs into the adjacent cove and offers great fishing, a marina is conveniently located just over a mile across the lake. The location is on a quiet area of the lake, most days we felt as though we were the only ones on the water.
Just over two miles up the road is the small quaint village of Northville. The town has a small coffee shop (Java John’s) as well as two gas stations, restaurants, shops, a bank and a Grand Union. In the area immediately surrounding Northville, you will find boat ramps, beach, golf and several large streams and hiking trails that range in difficulty from novice to adventurous.
