The beached liesure lake at Taupont is safe to swim, ski, windsurf & sail. The historic Chateau town of Josselin is only 10 mins away, it has a beautiful canal where boats can be hired. The medieval town of Ploermel is also 10 mins away with its history associated with the legends of King Arthur & the knights of the round table. Malestroit is about 20 mins away where you can visit the St Marcel resistance museum and reflect on the wartime resistance effort of the people in this area. The many beaches of the coastline are soft white sand. There are quite coves for relaxing and enjoying picnics. The coastline of Vannes and Lorient are approx 40 mins drive away. There is great opportunity to explore the delights of Brittany's beaches and medieval towns of mystic legends, also ideal for cycling, walking, fishing and painting.
