Nearest Beach: beach at 0.3 Miles
Bike trail, National Seashore visitor center, Nauset Light Beach, Coast Guard Beach, Nauset Lighthouse and Three Sister's Lighthouses. Close to great restaurants, village of Orleans, whale watching, fishing, surfing and Wellfleet Drive In. With a permit from the National Seashore you can have fires on the beach at night. Four wheeling in both Orleans and up at Race Point in Provincetown with permit. (they are now giving passes on weekly basis). National Seashore also has hikes and nature walks with tour or discover the trails on your own.

Notes: 1 queen, 2 twins, 1 queen size sleep sofa. All hardwood and tile floors. One level-easy in and out. Dial up internet available at cottage but plenty of spots in town that offer wireless access. We have quilts but you need to bring your own sheets and towels. Storage in basement for bikes and beach chairs. Walk out basement so it is easy access.

National Seashore: You can walk to Nauset Light Ocean Beach in 5-10 Min. Easy walk and you walk right pass the line of cars waiting for a spot in the lot. Two bike trials close to cottage. One is in the Natiional Seashore the other is the rail trail that goes up to Provincetown. We love to rent Kayaks and go in the crystal clear marsh. Right across from Stop and Shop. Water is very shallow and clear sandy bottom. Go to the Visitor Center for a permit to take your four wheel auto onto the dunes in Provincetown. Go to the tip of the Cape and watch the whales and seals right from your beach chair. Permit needed but well worth the effort. You can drive right on the dunes. We love a fire on the beach in the evening. You must also get a permit for this and they go fast so visit the visitor center early on in the week. Whale watching in Provincetown

Bike trails: Bike trails and rentals close by. Provincetown has trails in the dunes for the adventurous.

Wellfleet Drive In and flea market: Old fashion drive in is a big hit for the whole family. Flea markets on weekends with great vendors

Other Activities: cross country skiing, 4 wheeling with permit

Wonderful Cape Cod Escape

The house was very nicely decorated with a great Cape atmosphere!! It was clean, had a very well stocked kitchen and the beds were comfortable. The deck and yard setting are very private with a short walk to Nauset Light Beach. We had a wonderful experience there!!

Quiet, relaxing location with easy access to beach

We spent a week in July 2008 at this house with another couple. The location is perfect if you're looking for a quiet, relaxing vacation. The house was a short walk to the beach, there are very nice bike trails nearby and easy access to stores and restaurants. Amenities are exactly as described (the deck with a huge grill was awesome) and we hope to stay here again. Central air and a dishwasher are lacking, but we didn't mind at all. I have already recommended this rental to friends and I keep the link on my desktop to remember and look forward to more times at the Cape.

Do You Enjoy Beautiful Sunsets?

What an experience! Just minutes walking to the loveliest beach and lighthouse that has bathroom and shower amenities. The home is so attractive, clean and well maintained. The area is calm and serene surrounded by trees and wildlife. Just minutes away from excellent restaurants and shopping. A short distance away, there is the Coast Guard Beach which is handicapped accessible and also the National Seashore Visitor's Center which is educational and the start of a walking tour taking you to breathtaking views. The owners of the property are very responsive to any needs and you can see pride of ownership in this wonderful property. I would definitely go back to this home again and would definitely recommend it to friends and family.

Cape Cod Perfection

My husband and I did not really know what to expect, but we found just what we were looking for in this cottage, within walking distance to the beach. We wanted to rest from our busy jobs, we wanted to read our stack of books, and we wanted to eat fresh seafood daily. We accomplished all that, and felt revived at the end of our stay.
Several times a day, we'd walk up to the beach and chuckle as we heard the park rangers tell people in the long line of cars waiting to get into the beach parking lot, that it would be another hour before they could park their cars!
That was only part of the benefit of staying in this cottage. The other was the restfulness - the serenity we found on the deck in the lovely and secluded back yard. We'd get lobsters from a local lobster pound and local produce, and have wondreful dinners each night, all al fresco -- we were in heaven.
If you add in how comfortable the house is, and the convenience of nice restaurants (when we did venture out), it all adds up to one perfect vacation. I am sorry that is lasted only a week and we can't wait to return.

Wonderful cottage short walk from the ocean

This is a delightful cottage with all amenities and best of all is the short walk to beautiful Cape Cod beach. Our family of four, parents and two teens, was very comfortable in this nicely decorated home, cozy chairs and couch with reading lamps especially enjoyable for this family of readers. The beach is definitely the highlight, we enjoyed days and evenings there without having to drive and deal with parking. Teens can come and go as they please. Close to ponds and beautiful bike trails. Well equipped kitchen with dishes, glassware, pots, etc and full grill made cooking at home easy, we even entertained our local friends with a backyard barbeque. Great central location on the Cape to take trips to Provincetown, Wellfleet and many other spots. Owners very pleasant. We highly recommend this rental.
