Gorgeous Views, On The River, Ideal For Sightseeing, Sleeps 4!

On the top floor of six storey Tivoli Court this lift accessible penthouse apartment is located in the Lawrence Wharf development on Rotherhithe Street. It has one double bedroom and a large living room, a large bathroom and a fully functional kitchen with all modern conveniences including washing machine, dishwasher, etc. There are two flat screen TVs with satellite connection (SKY) and broadband connection.

In the living room one of the sofas converts into a bed. Towels and bed linen are provided. The extensive wrap around terraces provide views of the City, Canary Wharf and Greenwich and of course the River Thames.

If you are driving there is a secure basement garage parking spot available at no extra cost.

Next door is the Hilton Docklands Riverside Hotel where you can access their amenities and the 'Living Well' fitness centre for a fee. Living Well has a spa, swimming pool and a gym.

From the Hilton Hotel Pier you can catch a ferry boat which takes you across to the Canary Wharf Pier. There you can switch to the river bus to take you to historical Greenwich or up river to Tower Hill (for Tower of London, Tower Bridge), Embankment (for Westminster, the West End and Soho) or Bankside (for Southbank, Tate Modern and the Shakespeare Globe). Or just stay at Canary Wharf and enjoy the bars, restaurants and shopping on offer.

After a tiring but thrilling day of sightseeing you may want to catch the Jubilee line (grey one on the tube map) to Canada Water (the nearest tube station) and pick up some groceries from Tesco located in the Surrey Quays Shopping Centre. The C10 bus will take you back to the flat in 5 minutes.

Or you may want to catch the London Overground (orange line on the tube map) which takes you to Rotherhithe Station. Head for the river and drop by the Old Salt Quay pub & restaurant for a drink before continuing 10 minutes on foot back to the flat.

If there is any energy left you can enjoy some tennis in the courtyard (there are rackets and balls in the flat) or just relax on the terrace and enjoy the views of the river.

In the evening if you want entertainment closer to home, there are pubs and restaurants along Rotherhithe Street or you could head to the Surrey Quays shopping centre. In the same vicinity you can watch the latest blockbuster at the Odeon or enjoy bowling at the Hollywood bowls next door. More restaurants and bars are found here.

If you choose to stay in you can fix a meal in a modern kitchen complete with hob, oven, utensils and cutlery, which happily can all fit into the dishwasher.

Afterwards you can watch satellite TV (SKY) or surf the net on the Wi-Fi broadband connection.

The next day is another exciting day!

The penthouse has an exquisite view of Canary Wharf and London. It is about a 30 minute trip into London by bus and tube, but to sit on the deck after a day of shopping or sightseeing is well
worth it. River transportation is minutes away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this apartment. It is comfortable, well equipped and of course there is that view of the Thames!

We rented this penthouse apartment during the London leg of our honeymoon and we could not have been more thrilled! From our first step into the apartment, we were gobsmacked at the huge panoramic views of the Thames river, beautiful canary wharf skyline and how impeccably clean, modern and spacious this apartment was. We immediately fell in love with the apartment and within hours it felt like home with all the necessary home features such as well-equipped kitchen, large bedroom with water views, and modern bathroom. Public transport is not at issue with a bus stop literally outside the apartment complex. If you prefer using the tube, it will only take you a handful of stops to major tourist sites such as London Bridge, Tower Bridge and Tower of London. For those who prefer shopping (such as my now wife), the major shopping strip Oxford Street is only a little further. Exquisite penthouse, with all the features, close to public transport and tourist attractions. 5 STARS!!

The C10 bus takes you to Canada Water station in 5 mins. On the Jubilee Underground line it takes 3 minutes to Canary Wharf and 5 minutes to North Greenwich (for the O2 Arena and Emirates cable car). In the opposite direction it is only:
