Pelican's Perch is an upscale, luxury townhouse condo less than 16 yards from the water of the Gulf of Mexico. The condo has 1,400 square feet of interior living area plus two large, 'L' shaped decks that wrap around the condo. Each deck has panoramic views of the Gulf of Mexico on one side and the heated pool on the other. A gas grill is provided. Local zoning rules allow 6 people to reside in the condo. This limit is strictly enforced. Free high speed Wi-Fi Internet access is provided. The master bedroom features a king-size bed with an open water view. The second bedroom has queen and twin beds. A queen-size bed pulls out from a sofa on the first floor. A large, eight boat dock and heated pool are a one minute walk away. The dock is located at the mouth of the Key Vaca Cut, providing good fishing & easy access to both the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean. Dockage is first come first served with owners having priority. Backup dockage is available off site if needed.

Renters have use of 3 bikes (2 rental type bikes and 1 kids BMX bike) full beach gear such as beach chairs, umbrellas, mats, toys, fishing gear, pool noodles, and some snorkeling gear. Board games are included inside the condo.

The most common comment we receive about Pelican's Perch is that the condo is 'even better than expected.'

Our family is comprised of a public servant, retired French & Spanish teacher, Air Force Officer, and Spanish teacher. Our family was raised in Troy, Ohio where Jeff and Peg currently live.

Why Jeffrey M. Welbaum chose Marathon

The views from the balconies are spectacular. The Gulf water is less than 16 yards away. The pool is beautiful. The dock on the Vaca Cut is a great place to fish. The condo is centrally located beetween Key Largo and Key West. The condo is spacious, 1,400 square feet of interior living area plus the two balconies. The condo is a lot better than it looks in pictures.

What makes this condo unique

The two water front balconies are located on the east side of the building. This provides valuable afternoon shade while sitting on the decks. Even during the hot summer afternoons, the balonies are surprisingly comfortable with the shade and sea breeze.

Awesome Vacation Spot

This experience was amazing for us. The condo made our experience the best because it was so clean and comfy. It was a nice place to know we could come back to after exploring all that the keys have to offer. We thoroughly enjoyed everything the condo had to offer, including the pool, location, view, and spacious living space. We had a blast and would recommend this condo to anyone looking for a good time in the keys.

Nice, well-maintained condo close to Keys fun

We recently stayed at Jeff's condo for spring break and were very happy with the experience. Jeff was great to work with before and during our stay and responded quickly to any questions we had. The condo is well-stocked - fishing poles, beach chairs, beach towels etc., even a waffle maker, although we never took advantage of it.

My only comment is that it's a really windy location. It was a bit cool at the beginning of the week and we couldn't really sit on the deck. Once we went over to the Atlantic side for lunch or a snorkeling trip, the wind died down considerably.

Overall I would definitely recommend the place.

Great view, quiet, clean & spacious!

We are a family from Seattle we really enjoyed staying at this condo with our two adult boys - our first trip to the Florida Keys. The condo was very spacious, and we loved having 2.5 bathrooms, as well as the beach towels, chairs, noodles, ice chests, etc. The location was great, right in the middle of the keys and so easy to travel North or South. The pool was sparkling clean (I'm a bit bit if a nut about that) so much appreciated. Great beaches close by, as well as many great restaurants. The Turtle Hospital is a must - such a great cause. All in all, a fabulous family vacation in the keys!

Keys Adventure

Our first visit to the Florida Keys was spectacular in this comfy condo with a great view. Fishing off the dock was awesome, as was biking to excellent restaurants, beaches, state parks, etc. The owner was prompt and efficient in correspondence. The unit had everything to make our stay tons of fun, and when we returned from our daily jaunts, it was relaxing to swim in the pool. Thanks so much for making our "Keyventure" an A++++!

Fantastic rental condo ! Everything was as advertised ! The condo and property is in a terrific location with fantastic views. The Marathon area has plenty to do, including plenty of great dining venues. Sombrero Beach was terrific and very accessible to the general public. Jeff does a great job with his informational packet containing everything you need to know concerning the rental property and local venues. In addition, the business transaction went smoothly. What More Could You Want?

When planning our honeymoon for October we searched for a beautiful local with a self sufficient private setting. Jeff and Peg`s place provides that and so much more. The decor is lovely, comfortable and perfectly stocked with guests needs in mind. The expansive gulf views make you want to stay and tour the grounds but the location is right in the heart of wonderful restaurants, beaches, fishing, diving and snorkeling opportunities. It was a week in paradise.

The large heated pool is beautiful. The large dock is great for fishing and boating. Marinas, restaurants, and shopping are within walking distance. The closest beaches are about a mile away. The best local beach, Sombrero, is about a 5 minute drive. The condo is within a 5 mile drive of a movie theater, playhouse, several shopping centers with supermarkets, a K-Mart, more restaurants and gift shops. Also within 5 miles are two beaches, golf courses, and tennis and basketball courts. Drive another 10 miles and you will pass three more beaches.

A pedestrian and bike path runs in front of the complex all the way to the abandoned 7 Mile Bridge, about 6 miles away. This bridge extends 2 miles to Pigeon Key Historical Museum. The 2 mile span is reserved for fishing, walkers, and bicyclists. The entrance of the complex is also about 100 yards from the beautiful Key Colony Beach bike and walkway.
