Beautiful Thanksgiving

Each Thanksgiving, we like to rent a house where we can meet up with family from other parts of the country. This year, we chose the Cape, and this great house on the marsh. Going to the Cape in the off-season obviously has its pluses and minuses—many shops and restaurants are closed, but it's quiet, and you feel like you have the place to yourself. We went for walks on the beach, ate sandwiches and drank Cape Cod beer from Sam's, and got the best lobsters and lobster bisque from Mac's Seafood.
The house itself isn't fancy—the appliances and fixtures are a little dated, and we had one glitch where Comcast accidentally turned off the Internet for the off-season. That said, it was well-maintained, and we were warm, comfortable, and able to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal for 5 with the gorgeous Cape Cod sunset at our backs.
