Amazing ocean views from this 3 bedroom unit located a short walk from Newport's Eastons Beach (First Beach). This home is on the 2nd and 3rd floor of a recently renovated beach house. It is clean, bright and comfortable with wood floors, ceiling fans and two full baths. For your convenience, there is a dishwasher and washer/dryer. There is a deck off the kitchen for morning coffee and evening BBQ. The house is topped off by a large, stunning roof deck. At night, you will hear the crashing of the waves and be cooled by the ocean breezes. The beds are brand new so you will get a great nights sleep. The house is surrounded by beautiful, flowering gardens and there is a large, shared fenced yard which is great for kids. This is a child-friendly home and location. First Beach has a skate board park, playground, and carousel not to mention lots of sand and waves. The house is located on a quiet residential side street

The walk to the beach is about two blocks. There is no fee to walk on the beach. There are restaurants and convenience stores with walking distance. It is a great area for walking, running, biking, roller blading, surfing and kayaking. All equipment available to rent nearby. Downtown Newport is 2 miles away. There is wonderful shopping, restaurants, harbor cruises, tours of mansions and historical sites. From Newport you can take day trips to Block Island or Martha's Vineyard and there are several quaint seaside villages within a 30 minute drive including Wickford, Bristol or Little Compton R.I.

I can not say enough about this rental. I would definately rent it again. It is a little pricey but in the long run it saved us parking money because it is a walk to the beach, We cooked alot because it was roomy and comfortable and it held alot of people so we could entertain a few families during the week. The grounds are gorgeous and natural and Trisha and Paul are wonderful landlords. The views from the rooftop were breathtaking especially at dusk with a few Margaritas. Truly wonderful! Do not pass it up.

This has been a great home-away-from-home. The location is great – so glad to be able to avoid some of the downtown Newport traffic and we loved the roof deck. Wonderful views out every window. A great writer’s retreat – I worked on a chapter from my novel – 51/15.

Great location, beautiful view, quiet, clean

We stayed here for a week in the summer of 2007. Came across it again while searching for this year's vacation possibilities. The owners were very nice and accomodating and the house was spotless. The rooftop deck is amazing and very private. We were there for the week of 102 degree temps but still had a lovely vacation. I recommend this property for families, especially those with well-behaved teenagers--great separation of sleeping quarters.
