Chelsea Apartment Rental Photos and Description
2 bedroom, 1 bathroom home with its abstract art and bright colours
Tucked just off the King’s Road, Walpole Street is a home as fashionable as its address. From the stylish stucco on the outside to the brilliant swatches of colour within, each room cuts a stylish shape. Faux-hide rugs top the sitting room’s varnished floor, abstract art brightens the dining room’s white walls, and the bedrooms are furnished in yellow, scarlet and fuchsia. Whether your eye is caught by the garden terrace or the upcycled furnishings, there’s plenty to browse at home before you set foot in a nearby boutique.
Your host works in London, and Walpole Street is his pied-a-terre. When Saturday comes he dresses for the countryside, where he and his family live.
Set across the lower-ground and ground floors, this home’s layout is well-arranged. The sitting and dining rooms flow seamlessly into one, and are enlivened by vibrant artworks and a palette of washed-out blues and earthy browns. You might head to the skylit kitchen for tea, sit down for dinner at the round wooden table for four, or sip a nightcap on the garden terrace – it’s just beyond the master bedroom. Should you need to freshen up first, the bathroom is buoyant in watery blue.

About Owner / Property Manager
onefinestay gives you the chance to stay in someone's place while they're out of town. You get to live their life for a few days and nights.
Booking a stay is as easy as booking a hotel room. And there's service to match.
Nobody wants to be a tourist, so our homes come with recommendations from the people who live in them. For everything else, we're here 24/7.
Why Owner / Property Manager chose Chelsea
An enclave for the elite from the times of Henry VIII and his many wives right up to the Russian oligarchs who rule the roost today, there has long been something exquisite about Chelsea. Yet despite the high gloss and big blow dry that it takes to live here, Chelsea’s bohemian past makes it far from stuffy.
Historically a haven to the artistic – many of the pre-Raphaelites, JMW Turner, Jonathan Swift and historian Thomas Carlyle all lived here – in more recent history the area was at the epicentre of Swinging London and a decade later, the birth place of punk. Today a fresh young Chelsea set (led by Kate Middleton) roam the streets, and while they may have shrugged off the area’s more rebellious past, they’re all still very much up for the party.
