'The condo was fabulous and the pool and grounds were fantastic. It was right in the middle of everything we wanted to do. I highly recommend the Blue Flamingo to anyone and I have told several people about it in Memphis. I look forward to returning soon!'

The condo is excellent, extremely clean and neat and with modern
furnishings. It is located in the Flamingo South Beach, which is set in beautiful
gardens and there are pools and an area where you can sunbathe. The
Flamingo faces across the bay to downtown Miami. The location is not on the
strip (meaning not right on Ocean Drive or Lincoln Road) but about 5 minutes
walking to Ocean Drive. The good thing is that along the way (down Lincoln
Rd.) there's plenty of shopping to be done and the entire vibe of South Beach
is felt. Ocean Dr. itself is generally very expensive and crowded, so for us this
was a great option and we had no problems walking around, even late. Mr.
Rivero was extremely friendly and helpful and responded promptly to all my
questions via email correspondence. He sent me a rental agreement and I
paid a deposit which was refunded to me within a couple of weeks of my
departure so, in my opinion, I had no hassles.

We stayed here for our spring break and we had a GREAT time, location was just perfect and place is nice and clean, we would love to come back next year :)
Before we got to our rental they changed units three times. We got in three hours later than what we were told we could. We had to tell security that we were friends of a person there that we never met to gain entry. We never received (stayed 5 days) key cards that allows you access to the pool, getting in the elevators, and getting past security. Room was good except you couldn't reach the thermostat because it was behind a 6' x 8' TV stand and closets were filled with old furniture. Nina responded to emails during the booking process but never heard from her again when we had complaints. Samuel was our contact in Miami and he got back to us 50% of the time. Parking was more expensive than what we were initially told. $22.00 instead of $18.00 per day. We had to put a deposit down which we had a hard time getting back. We had to threaten to get PayPal and credit card company involved before we got our deposit back. Overall the room was decent but the customer service was terrible. Would not book with them again.
We were scheduled to arrive in Miami on March 3 at 3:30. Samuel (our contact) said the unit (3rd one we were told we were getting) was not ready because the cleaning lady was running behind. Sam said it would be an hour if we could grab a bite to eat it would be cleaned by 4:30. 4:15 we get a text saying it wouldn't be ready until 6:30. Just before we arrive we get a text saying that we needed to tell security that we are visiting a guy named Victor F. First time we had ever heard this name. We had been dealing with Nina and Samuel up until then. We made it through security and down to the valet. You have to pay $22.00 per day for valet. We were told it was $18.00 prior to booking. Walking down the hall way fire alarms were going off and fireman were outside. We were told they were just testing them. We were there for 5 days and 4 of them had the alarm going off. We got to our room and we were told the valet would bring our luggage. 45 minutes later it arrived. While we were waiting for our luggage we were also told that the previous renters lost the access cards you need to get past security, use the elevator, and gain access to the building. Sam told us they were out of replacement cards but he would get us one the next day. We did not get the cards the entire stay. He offered us his card on multiple occasions, but never gave it to us. It was a pain to do anything without the cards.
Apartment was clean. Closets had old furniture in it making it hard to hang clothes in some of the closets. Thermostat was behind huge T.V. stand which only someone with small arms could reach. Furniture and beds were nice.
Nina returned emails during the booking process. After that, never heard from her again. No calls, emails, or texts were returned. Sam returned calls and texts on a limited basis.
After our stay, we were supposed to get a $500.00 deposit back via paypal 2 days after leaving. Getting the deposit back was a hassle. We had to threaten to get paypal, credit card company, and this website involved before we finally got it back.
I would not recommend this place if you are looking for a relaxing vacation.
We staid at this location for new year, this precisely apartment was already reserved for the dates we inquired, but Nina offered us another apartment in this same complex. It was just as nice as our first option which was already reserved. Location is great, close to everything and not in the middle of all clubs and south beach chaos.
The apartment was very clean, and nice furnished. We had a great time and we will consider to come back for our next vacation
After reading all the good reviews, we felt comfortable that this would be a reliable VRBO to rent, BIG mistake! For the price we paid, the unit was NOT well maintained, the walls were marred and paint was peeling off the doors. The bedroom linens were very dingy, stained and "Yellowed", the dresser drawers, closets and furniture were dirty (we didn't even unpack our suitcases). We rented the unit with another couple and there were only 4 bath towels and 1 wash cloth for the entire unit. We specifically asked Sam (our contact) for a walk through the morning we left to point out how dirty the unit was, a broken door, and lack of linens to ensure we would get our security deposit back. Sam confirmed the conditions and that we would receive our deposit that day (Per the contract we should have received it within 2 days). We called, emailed and text them numerous times with no response. I called from a different phone number (after 2 weeks) and we were told it would be refunded and it wasn't so we filed a fraud case with our credit card companies. We finally received a refund yesterday after we told them we filed the fraud charge. We were told by a source they are having financial troubles and they didn't have the money to pay us back!
I was celebrating my 50th birthday and booked this condo for my stay. The unit is very clean is well appointed, the beds were very comfortable, & the kitchen had everything we needed. The unit is conveniently located near all of the hot spots in South Beach. It is a convenient 5-10 minute walk to Lincoln Road. There are taxi's just outside the gate along with a Deco Bike station which rents beach cruiser bikes for your jaunt up and down the beach. I loved this. I don't recommend renting a car as the parking outside is extremely limited. Parking in South Beach is complicated and most spots are zoned for residents. The Flamingo has valet parking but this can be pricey. This unit is so convenient, you won't need a car. The Flamingo resort has a beauty/nail salon, a dog groomer, is ideal for people traveling with pets, a small cafe in the S.Tower for sandwiches, pizza and salads, a small grocery store in the N. tower for last minute items which has a deli counter & some very good cafe con leche. Just outside the grocery/deli is a hot spot/internet cafe where you can have a coffee, check your email and watch the hotties hit the pool. The pools are amazing. They are very well kept, have very nice cabanas and day beds but be advised, bring your best game. July is low season on the beach, I can't even imagine what high season is like. Raphael is a gem, a true class act and is very attentive to your needs. I highly recommend Raphael. He is honest and reputable which is hard to find in the vacation rental forum.
