Charming and rustic, this is a spacious 4 BR house (sleeps 8) on Hawks Nest Beach. A truly wonderful summer community on a the CT shoreline. Beautiful, renovated, open kitchen next to spacious dining with picture window and french doors opening on to waterside deck! The house is located on a cul-de-sac with no through traffic, bordered by a wetland reserve. Perfect location for walks, roller blading, bicycles etc. The Garvin General store is close by for ice cream, snacks coffee, newspapers and meeting people/making friends. The beach association offers activities for children including a weekly movie on the beach, talent show, scavenger hunts, crafts and more! You can dine at fine area restaurants, walk to beach bars with live music and fresh clams, rent a boat or a jet ski at one of the marinas nearby. Enjoy the galleries or go antique shopping. Tour historical sites/bldgs. Mohegan Sun about 25 mins away or just sit on the deck with a good book and watch the sea gulls sail by.

We Had the Best Vacation!
This house is really charming with 4 bedrooms right on the water! Best of all is a fabulous deck overlooking the ocean, what's better than that! Our kids had a blast making summer friends and enjoying the sand and surf everyday. We plan to make this a family tradition as most people there already do. We highly, highly recommend. Our time at the beach was wonderful..The weather was perfect and the Owner couldn't have been more helpful...We live rather close by but we had our family here and the house was extreamly clean and it couldn't have been any better.The view is great and the house was so comfortable.Lisening to the waves at night was so relaxing....Thanks again for a great time..Agnes..Ivoryton

Most relaxing and enjoyable vacation in years!

The house is beautiful inside and obviously well cared for! The location is perfect and the view from the back porch is great for watching the sun set over the water. We found the beach area to be very private. Suggest staying in the upstairs back bedroom as the sound of the surf at night is very soothing, though you can hear it well from all bedrooms in the house. We have rented several homes on West End Drive, but this one was by far our favorite. Although we were close to our home, it felt like we were many miles away. Definitely look forward to being return renters!
