Beautiful well equipped gite
We had a wonderful stay at Bob and Stella’s gite. Stella made sure every convenience was available from a wonderful arrival gift of apple tart and wine to bringing firewood for a campfire. Stella had many items stocked for convenience such as toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, detergent and many cooking items. We enjoyed a hearty breakfast each morning before exploring the beautiful countryside in the afternoon. We drove to the D Day beaches at Normandy, Honfleur (my favorite) and Giverny (Monets house and garden). The house had plenty of room and privacy for two couples and would have been wonderful for kids as well. We will certainly return! Thank you Stella!

A gem in the Normand countryside
Fantastic property for families in the rural Norman countryside. Hosts were fantastic and the property has everything you could need to entertain kids while parents relax.

Fabulous country retreat
This converted farmhouse may be the best place we have stayed of many across Europe and North America. Robert and Stella were absolutely charming and hospitable, starting with a fresh apple cake and local jam waiting for us on the table upon our arrival and continuing throughout our week long stay. The house was incredibly roomy, especially for just four of us (two parents, two teens) with multiple bedrooms, bathrooms, and living areas and it would be ideal for two families. The kids especially loved the foosball table, the tree house and suspension bridge, and the outdoor soccer space. We all loved the cozy wood burning stove in the evenings and the well equipped kitchen. Our hosts thoughtfully considered every detail from the charming decorating touches to the multilingual books on the shelf and color coordinated tissue boxes in each room. The location provides ready access to the Normandy beaches and WWII sites, surrounding villages and cities, and allows for a manageable day trip to Paris (two hour drive). Because we enjoy exploring different places when we travel, we don't typically return to locations we have previously visited, but in is case we plan to make an exception!
