This room is ideal for couples that want just a bit more character then the average hotel room. The hostess of the Blossom Room has a background in decorating and catering. Her love for styling is absolutely visible in this bed & breakfast accommodation.
As the title of the room already reveals, it is very clean, beautifully furnished and smells like a flower garden. Everything you need is provided by the lady of the house; a comfortable double bed, spacious closets, a minibar, Wifi and a characteristic French balcony with a view.
Furthermore you have your own bathroom with bath, separate shower, and a double sink. An advantage of staying in the Blossom Room, is the personal attention for the guests. The hostess will provide you with breakfast served on the room every second day.
Also, no Lonely Planet is needed. She can tell you everything about all the lovely walks in the neighborhood and the interesting sites to visit! The hostess has even purchased 2 Museum Cards with which you and your partner can visit every museum in Amsterdam (and most other museums in the country!).
We really enjoyed our stay. Erica was a wonderful hostess - very helpful with maps and answers to our questions. The room was clean and comfortable with all the privacy we needed. The location afforded easy access to tram stops and a number of great restaurants. All-in-all, a wonderful experience.
Special wallpaper. Good for a short stay. If you like a nice walk (through the Vondelpark) in the city and in the park than this is the place to be.?The apartment is not so big but sufficient. We love amsterdam.
Everything was great – we very much enjoyed the apartment and appreciated and we had an excellent host. I would definitely consider staying there again and we were very pleased overall. Thanks!
The Blossom Room is on the second floor of a beautiful house. The room is nicely decorated and well maintained with all the essentials for a comfortable stay. The bathroom has a shower and bathtub, where you can enjoy a nice long bath with bath salt/mud and much more that's already provided for. Erica has been an amazing host, being a professional caterer herself, you can expect to be pampered at breakfast. The apartment is about 25 min walk to Leiden Square and less than 10 minutes tram ride if you take #1 tram in front of the house. Also, it's very convenient to get to the apartment from central station - it's a 15 min ride on #17 tram which stops right in front of the house. It has been a great pleasure staying there and I would definitely recommend the place to all my friends.
The Blossom Room is located in Amsterdam West in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. The room will quickly feel like home where you can rest and relax. A short stroll takes you to reasonably priced cafes and shops around the corner as for example the Amstelveenseweg. ?On the Overtoom, which runs to the city centre, are a lot of nice little restaurants serving food from different parts of the world.
By tram or bus you can reach the dynamic city centre within 10 minutes. There are various trams and bus lines passing through the area to take you to other parts of the city:
You are just minutes away from the more sophisticated southern area of Amsterdam (Oud-Zuid), where you can find the Cornelis Schuytstraat with high end and stylish stores. The P.C. Hooftstraat with its classy shops leads you to the famous Museum Quarter of Amsterdam is situated around the Museumplein. Three important museums can be found here; the Stedelijk Museum showing contemporary art, the Rijksmuseum with the work of 17th century Dutch masters and the Van Gogh Museum, housing the art and information about the life of Vincent van Gogh.
Another advantage of the accommodation, is that it's located between two lovely parks. The Rembrandtpark is a quiet area, and the most popular one is the Vondelpark, named after the famous Dutch writer Joost van den Vondel.
The Kinkerstraat is a busy street, but has a separate covered shopping part, which makes it easy to walk around on a rainy day. The street offers you a mix of convenient stores, clothing shops, supermarkets and tokos. Moving a bit further West, you'll reach the upcoming part the Baarsjes. This area has been restored the last few years and attracts many creative people
