ON THE SAND - TREASURE ISLAND, FLORIDA

Outstanding week in this fine townhouse! Seven adults ranging from 55-82 yrs and one small puppy gathering from Mobile, Chattanooga, and Yalaha, FL. Plenty of room for gathering or finding a quiet corner. Beach was gorgeous - white sand and shells, blue/green clear water. Sunsets were amazing and yes, some of us saw the green flash! Awesome! Highly recommend Sea Hags for lunch/dinner. Food (esp lightly battered fried grouper sandwich, marina salad/grilled grouper)/service (Jen)/ambience super! And they are pet-friendly! Lots of restaurants are not, even with outdoor seating. Best place to stock (or restock) your bar is Norman's on Gulf Blvd in St Pete Beach very close by. Unbelievable selection of anything you would need for that and prices very good. Back to the townhouse - well-appointed and clean upon our arrival. Fresh flowers and bottle of wine were nice touch! The pics on this website really don't do it justice. Only comments we had were that for the bedrooms on the beachside of this home, there is little sound privacy. The couples in bedroom 2 and bedroom 3 could hear each others' conversations. The top floor bedroom has a rail across instead of a wall, so keep that in mind. The master is on the street side (we had that one) and we heard nothing. Other thing is that there is not a handrail for the stairs going up to the bedrooms. For most folks, probably not a problem, but we had a gentleman whose trips up and down might have been a little easier. Back to positive comments - Phil was so great during the whole process. We had a couple of changes to the original plan and he was more than accommodating. It was a pleasure to work with him on everything. Very close (15 min) to downtown St Petersburg. Tampa Bay Rays games, Salvador Dali Museum, fun shopping. Highly recommend this beach home!
