Geirmund Nes:

Geirmund is the 12th generation to live and work at the historic Nes Farm. He is very interested in the preservation of cultural history and heritage, and funded the restoration of the old farmstead by establishing Hardanger Holiday Resort (Hardanger Feriesenter) in 1975. He is the general manager of both the farm and the resort, and as a true Hardanger native, his knowledge about activities and attractions in the region is unpaired.

Henni Toft:

Henni grew up just outside Copenhagen, Denmark, and brought her Danish kindness and hospitality to the Norwegian fjords in 2006. She currently works at Hardanger Holiday Resort, managing bookings, accounts and day-to-day operations. She also owns her own zone therapy clinic at Nes Farm.

Both Geirmund and Henni are very interested in literature and travel. Any free moment is spent on adventures around the world, whether they are actually there or experiencing them through the books.

Geirmund Nes and Henni Toft purchased this house in 1989

The Nesvika Energy Houses (Nesvika Energihus) was built in 1989 at Hardanger Holiday Resort with support from the Norwegian Research Council. The project was a union between modern luxury and environmental sustainability, and the houses combine the use of active and passive solar energy.

In many ways, this project was a love child, combining so many of Geirmunds' interests. One is the environmental sustainability, deriving from his passion for preservation of nature. Another is the panoramic fjord view, showcasing the spectacular Hardanger nature. Finally, each house is decorated in different styles, with inspiration from numerous travels around the world.
