A 3 bedroom Gothic fantasy of bricks and spires

Big Ben, Tower Bridge, the Natural History Museum – all are visual icons of London, built by Victorians whose aspirations knew no boundaries - but those are not for rent. With them sits St Pancras Chambers, a gothic fantasy of bricks and spires.

The building, designated as a national historic landmark (Grade 1 listed) incorporates the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel (5 star Marriott), St Pancras Chambers (private apartments such as this) and Kings Cross St Pancras underground and train station below - the most interconnected train hub in London (6 tube lines inc direct access to Heathrow, Gatwick and Luton airports plus direct trains to Edinburgh, Paris and Brussels!)

LOCATION:

On the edge of fashionable Bloomsbury and well connected by underground, it is the perfect hub from which to explore London's sights. Restaurants, pubs and shops can be found in abundance both in the building and adjacent hotel as well as the general vicinity.

The perfect base to explore all that London has to offer.

THE APARTMENT:

This apartment is on the top two floors of St Pancras Chambers. Residents also have access to hotel facilities at additional cost (inc Spa, Pool and Gym)

The apartment is over the 4th and 5th floors of the building. There are two guest double bedrooms on the 4th floor (one ensuite) and third mezzanine room above the living room which is typically used as a third bedroom (it has 2 foldout single sofa beds which can be put side by side for a double). If not needed as a third bedroom, the mezzanine has also in the past been used as a reading room or as a kids play area (we have plenty of board games and puzzles).

We have 2 further foldout mattresses and one travel cot available on request. These can be placed in either bedroom.

The 5th floor area is an open plan Kitchen/Living Room.

CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT TIMES

Check-in is typically any time after 4pm and Check-out strictly by 10am. I will certainly try to be flexible and it depends very much on how tight the turnaround is between your booking and the ones before and after. If your needs require an early check-in for example, I have often accommodated the needs of the tenants where possible but this must be by prior arrangement so please email me about your needs and I will try my best to accommodate.

About Yaz Romahi

I have lived in Canada, Japan, the Emirates, Jordan, Scotland and England so far and spend copious amounts of time in the US.

An applied mathematician and technologist by training.

I have an avid (some would say obsessive) interest in political history, architectural history and especially, financial history. I collect 18th and 19th century bonds and banknotes that have particular socio economic significance. A number of these are on display in the apartment including a French revolutionary banknote, a bond from the building of the Panama Canal, an Ottoman Empire government bond amongst others.

It is a great location from which to see the city, and the building itself is stunning. It is a very safe building, too. We loved the 24/7 coverage at the front desk. The apartment is really comfortable, with a lot more space than I expected. Two large bathrooms and two large bedrooms were a happy surprise! The loft area was nice for sleeping too. The kitchen had everything we needed for the bit of cooking we did, and best of all, it has a FANTASTIC supply of coffee and tea! The family games were fun to play when we were in for the night. Thanks so much for your thoughtful attention to detail, Yaz! We definitely highly recommend this apartment!

An amazing place to stay!

Deciding to make this our Home Away was one of the best decisions we made for our London trip! Yaz is a kind and accommodating host, responding quickly to every question. We loved the design of the apartment and appreciated all the nice touches provided for our comfort. Our group of 6 included 3 generations, ages 11 to 69. It was perfect for all of us. The convenience of shops, restaurants, grocery in the building, and the transportation too of course, was fabulous. We hope to return and will recommend this to our friends and family.

Amazing location, a home away from home

If you are able to book a stay here, consider yourself fortunate. The property is exceptionally well maintained and very accessible. We found everything to be just as described and the apartment and building are absolutely beautiful. If you plan to travel to London and to see spend your time seeing the sights, this location couldn't be better as it has direct access to both the Tube and to train services. There are plenty of places to eat, ATM's with free withdrawals and convenient grocery stores if you want to cook in one night (or more) make this everything you could want.
Yaz - you were wonderful to work with and we so appreciated your responsiveness in getting everything set up as well as the quick return of the security deposit. Our week in London with our two girls (ages 10 and 12) couldn't have been better - thank you for opening your home!
Travelers - if you are thinking of booking here - do it - you'll be really glad you did!

A Place to Call Home

We arrived in London via the Eurostar from Paris. We were excited to be staying somewhere other than our small Paris hotel room - and 5.21 St. Pancras was phenomenal.
The minute we opened the door - we all sighed happily. The sleeping accommodations for the six of us were wonderful - the two adult couples each had their own rooms (and bathrooms) and the children loved sleeping in the loft. On top of that - it was wonderful to have a kitchen - and one that was stocked with breakfast items the first day of our arrival. It was great to be able to give the kids some fruit and cereal while we made our plans for the remainder of the day. Every detail was attended to - the oyster cards, the stocked kitchen (with great coffees), the chargers/adapters for every kind of electronic...
Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us. The next time we come to London we'd be thrilled to stay at your place again!

History+Location+Beauty+Convenience=Perfection!

The review title says it all. You will love this apartment. All amenities stated are true and accurate. The building couldn't be more interesting and a treat to stay in. Access to Heathrow and the Eurostar (downstairs!), and tube and bus lines makes everything extremely convenient.

St. Pancras/King's Cross stations are so loaded with a plethora of restaurants, coffee shops, grab + go lunch places, and boutiques, it can be hard to leave the station itself!

Security can be a concern to travelers, but at 5.21 St. Pancras, it should not be. Assistance is a phone call away and the courteous 24/7 porters add the measure of security that one does not usually find in the average apartment stay. Their knowledge and help gives a "hometown" feel to an unfamiliar locale.

So drop your bags and begin your "London Experience". This apartment is so immaculately maintained and conscientiously supplied with breakfast foods, fruit, oyster cards and guidebooks, one needn't look any further for a more perfect and relaxing holiday.

Fantastic historic building and top apartment. Friendly staff and an interior that makes you feel at home. Has everything you need and more, from kitchen, TVs to Wifi to clean bathrooms and a generally great appearance. Located centrally and right above kings crossing, so there's no need to change trains when arriving at Heathrow airport. All of central London is within walking distance. I definitely recommend this place, both for a business stay or with kids for vacation.
