Completely renovated and tastefully furnished, in-town bungalow. A stone's throw from Penobscot Bay and it's Windjammer docks, and a short walk to Rockland's shops, restaurants and galleries. Near hiking trails and Maine State ferry serving Penobscot Bay Islands.
We have rented this cottage for 5 weeks over the last two years. Each time everything is in perfect order, and you feel like you are home the minute you walk in. The owners are amazing and helpful. Alden even came over one day because we couldn't figure out the remote! The neighborhood is quiet, yet you can walk down to the water into Rockland. It is also convenient to grocery stores and the kitchen is very well stocked for those evenings that you want to prepare seafood at home!
We can't wait to go back next summer. You will be amazed how relaxed you are at the end of your vacation and how much you wish it was your real home!

We loved the bungalow. The house was clean and had all the amenities we wanted, like tv, internet, a lobster pot, nice kitchen, and a great location. It had all of the comforts of home. The neighborhood was quiet but close to supermarkets and the Rockland downtown. Our stay was hassle free. We also had some family members over and they loved it too. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone who asked!
Sweet Bungalow was a very pleasant surprise. We were expecting a basic, clean place to stay during our week in Maine. We found a charmingly decorated little place that felt like home from the moment we walked in. The house was convenient and welcoming- a perfect place to relax and unwind, or to use as home base for the many activities and sights right close by. The harbor is just down the street. Restaurants, shopping and necessities are all within easy walking or driving distance. Would recommend Sweet Bungalow in a heartbeat.
Sweet Bungalow is a lovely, meticulously clean, (inside and out) comfortable, well-appointed gem which served as the perfect anchor for our stay in the MidCoast area. Our expectations were exceeded far and wide by the overall allure of the bungalow (the pictures simply did not do it justice) and Cindy is the perfect hostess, anticipating your every need. The cottage is tucked away on a quiet, quaint street located one block from the harbor and a stone's throw from Rockland's Main Street, the quintessential coastal walkabout replete with an array of appealing galleries, wonderful shops, and for all us foodies, GOOD EATS!!! After long days (and nights) of exploring Midcoast, (so much to do)!! Sweet Bungalow was indeed the ultimate retreat, we couldn't have asked for more~
Sweet Bungalow is heavenly: 5-Stars~, Thank You Cindy!

My family and I have stayed with Cindy at the Trinity Bungalow two years in a row. When we leave, I'm always sad because it really does feel like home! If you are traveling to the Midcoast, call Cindy. She was wonderful to work with. She was accessible always for any difficulties we had (which were few and we had lengthy stays - 3 weeks in 2011 and 5 weeks in 2010), really friendly and knowledgable and everything was clear, direct and easy as far as payment is concerned. Her husband really went above and beyond the first year we stayed when I was having trouble connecting my laptop to the wifi. He spent a LONG time helping and it turned out the problem was a setting with MY laptop! Thanks Alden! I have compared prices for rentals and this house is a super sweet deal too!
The enclosed porch is so lovely with all the windows. When it's warm, you can have them all open and smell the sea - which you can see just by walking out the front door into the middle of the road - you're THAT close! The tin ceilings are gorgeous and Cindy has some lovely interesting furnishings as well. So many vacation rentals have a sterile, impersonal feel to them; others are SO personalized to the owner you feel like you're out of place. This space is just right. It has character that you can easily feel comfortable being a part of. I LOVE the skylights upstairs - so awesome when it's raining!
See why we think of Cindy's sweet bungalow as OUR home away from home. Make it YOUR home away from home too! We wish like crazy we could go again this year, but can't quite make it work out. I'm sure this review seems a little over the top, but it's only because I love this house so much. :o)
Visit interesting Rockland shop, galleries, and restaurants, which are steps away. Windjammers docks are nearby, as are the ferries which travel the several Penobscot Bay Islands. Hiking in the Camden Hills and kayaking on the bay are popular activities. Fish on the beautiful Rockland breakwater or play golf on one of it's excellent courses.
