Casita Patron I is a queen suite with a kiva fireplace in the master bedroom, abundant skylight in the kitchen and living room, easy access to the outdoor fireplace area and hot tub, as well as a quaint private patio for sunbathing or a good read.

This authentic adobe home is located on a very quiet and private cul-de-sac just 3 blocks west of the Santa Fe Plaza; across the Santa Fe River two blocks south, is the newly minted Railyard with its' Farmer's Market, unique shops and restaurants as well as outdoor events and a spacious art park.

Enjoy discovering Santa Fe on foot, or use this very handy location as a jumping off point for trips north to Taos, easy access from Albuquerque Airport, or a quick hop to drive up the Ski Basin road.

The casita was much smaller than we anticipated, but very cozy and ultimately perfect for my husband and baby daughter. We cooked the majority of our meals in the casita and it was well stocked with kitchen tools, but could benefit from having a spice rack, oil, and sundry miscellaneous items to aid in cooking that you dont want to buy for just a week.
The kiva fireplace was wonderful. We had to forage the neighborhood for smaller wood/kindling to start the fire, then use the wood provided to keep it going. There were also plenty of additional heaters if one didn't want to use the fireplace.
The proximity to the plaza was unbeatable; just a few blocks.
I don't think the casita would accommodate four people as it claims. It is the perfect size for a couple though. Logistics were seamless. We had a wonderful stay.
Recommended for:  Adventure Seekers, Tourists without a Car, Romantic Getaway

Overall a really good experience in Santa Fe

Stayed for 2 nights in January while passing through Santa Fe in a cross-country move. Patron II was a great place to stay for two people (one person took the bed and the other took the sofa couch). Plenty of room and a cool house (albeit on the smaller side). Weather was cold (Low's in the teens, High's in the 30's) and the heating in the house wasn't the best, but we got by with the provided additional heat fans. If it was any colder it might not have been very comfortable in the evenings (never tried the bedroom fireplace though). Location was easy walking distance to the square and seemed like a safe neighborhood. It was nice having the hot tub and the kitchen was an easy place to make a nice meal for two. Would definitely recommend the place to anyone and would stay there again.
Owner's Response: To clarify, this review is for Patron I and not Patron II and guest did stay in Patron I. We do provide space heaters in all units as a backup heat as we know some guests prefer the inside temp to be warmer.

Perfect set up for 2 friends with a master suite + extra single bed in the lounge area. Hot Tub & grill are amazing & the location is 5 stars just 1 block from the historic plaza!

The Romero was warm, cozy and quite. Every detailed was covered fully. The bed was heavenly and the rooms were very spacious. Easy walk to plaza and very pet friendly with bricked end patio. Would stay there again.
