Great Experience

The owners are very organized making for a flawless experience. The cottage is fully loaded with all the amenities and more! It rained practically all week when we where there in late June 2009 but found lots to do. Martha’s Vineyard was a great experience (although would have been better sans umbrella…) and there are lots of day trips possible from the location (town of Chatham, bike ride from Falmouth to Woods Hole). Provincetown is a bit far for a day trip as traffic jams seemed to be common. There is a great grocery store a 5 minute drive away - Roche Bros – and a liquor store across the street in Mashpee Commons. For foodies, don’t expect many (ANY!) good restaurants in the area, certainly not by foot. We ate at Blue in Masphee Commons, which was a decent meal but the service was brutal. Our only criticism of the cottage was the proximity to neighbouring cottages, which are all very close in the village, and the lack of restaurants and shopping by foot. If the weather was better, the beach is just steps away and the owners provide SWEET beach chairs and an umbrella. There is an outdoor table with chairs and a great BBQ, which is not pictured in the description of this cottage but should be!
