There you will find world-class shopping, eating, and people-watching. A few more miles of driving takes you to the incredible 'Na Pali' coast, with its lush green vegetation, hiking, private beaches, and waterfalls. Guests of the Emerald Suite may enjoy 'resort rates' at both the 'Makai' and 'Princeville' golf courses. These courses, designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr., are among the most beautiful in the world. Our guests may also use the nearby tennis clubs at resort rates. Best of all, our guests are entitled to use the stunning Princeville Country Club Health Club and Spa!   • Cleaning Fee Is For 1-Bedroom Princess Suite. Fee For 2-Bedroom Prince Suite Is $150.
  • Your base rent includes all of these amenities ABSOLUTELY FREE: High-Speed Internet, Unlimited Long-Distance, 32' LCD TV, DVD/VHS player, free assigned on site parking, and free use of all Sandpiper Village amenities. The trail down to the beach is only four blocks away! Other beaches, the most beautiful in the world, are just minutes away by car!

    Our guests are also entitled to 'Resort Rates' for golf and the Princeville Country Club Spa. Just tell them you are staying at the Sandpiper Village in the Princeville Resort and they will honor the rates.

    The rates quoted above are for the 1-bedroom Princess Suite. All of the amenities described here are available in both the 1-bedroom Princess and the 2-bedroom Prince Suites.
  • For larger parties, or for those who just want to stretch out, we also offer the two bedroom Prince Suite for just $14 more per day. The nightly rate is only $99, which is $693 a week. Both the Prince and Princess Suites are beautifully furnished with custom bamboo furniture. There is a large screen LCD TV in the living room, along with a modern audio/video suite. Both bedrooms have their own TVs and stereos. Both bedrooms have phones, and the second bedroom has a microwave oven, cube refrigerator, coffee maker, and private lanai. It also has a private entrance, although there is a common door between the bedrooms.

    The Sandpiper Village has a pool, jacuzzi, sauna, barbecues, bathrooms, shower, vending machines, and a large pool deck area. The world famous Makai golf course is just across the street.

  • The master suite has a wonderfully comfortable king-size bed with grass skirts, TV, stereo, lanai, and bath. There is a sofa bed in the living room. The second bedroom has a private entrance, its own private lanai, two queen size beds, also with grass skirts. All of our beds are of the highest quality and incredibly comfortable. The second bedroom also has a refrigerator, microwave oven, coffee maker, TV, and stereo.

Unlimited Long-Distance: The base rent includes free unlimited long-distance calling to the United States and Canada. There are phones in both bedrooms and an answering machine in the main living area.

GOLFERS ALERT! REDUCED GREEN FEES!: Robert Trent Jones, Jr., declared Princeville as the most beautiful place on earth for a golf course. There are two world-class golf courses on the north shore of Kauai, the Makai Course and the Princeville Country Club. The Makai course, a 27-hole course, is right across the street from the Emerald Suite at Sandpiper Village. The Princeville Country Club is just down the road. All guests of the Emerald Suite are entitled to special reduced RESORT FEES for golf on both courses. Just tell them that you are staying at the Sandpiper Village within the Princeville Resort area.

Emerald Suite at Sandpiper Village

We had excellent accommodations at the Emerald Suite, I would highly recommend!!! We were very comfortable, the amenities were awesome, we immediately felt at home!!! I hope to return some day and will definitely contact you folks again for accommodations. It was very easy to get to any location that we wanted and was beautiful on the north shore. Mahalo!!

This is the 4th time I have used Homeaway. This is the first time I would not return to a residence.

On the positive side, the unit is spacious and well furnished and the price is low.

However, the unit was noisy due to the traffic and neighbors. It does not have air conditioning, which appears to be common in Hawaii, so we kept the windows open. The temperature was comfortable but unfortunately the unit is next to the main street and we could also hear the neighbors who also kept their windows open.

Fixable problems: The DVD player in the living room did not work. We tried 2 different DVDs but it said "no disk". The TV in the bedroom with two beds was not connected to the cable channels. We found the liquid shower soap but there was only one bottle for 2 bathrooms.

The unit is located in Princeville which is fine if you want to stay on the North Shore or go to Kapaa. However exploring the western part of the island will take a 2 hour drive.
Owner's Response: The guest is correct about the DVD player. We did not learn about that in time to replace it before their arrival. However, they are not correct about the cable in the second bedroom. It checks out fine. And they failed to locate the extra soap underneath the sink in the B bedroom..

Also, the guest admitted that he uses air conditioning at all times in Florida and never hears outside noises. In Hawaii, people tend to keep their windows open, especially on Kauai where air conditioning is rare. And the road is a two lane neighborhood street, not the highway. The traffic noise is not as bad as this guest alleges. We have repeat visitors, some who stay for months at a time. They would not return every year if the place was as bad as this guest falsely claims.

We request that you contrast this review with the numerous five star reviews we have received. While we'd like to please everybody, unfortunately there is the occasional disgruntled invididual who cannot be satisfied. Ironically, this guest left the place in the worst condition of any guest we have had in quite some time. We had to pay a surcharge to our cleaning service, it was that bad. Since the DVD player was not operating, we did not charge them for the additional expenses for the filthy condition they left the place in as courtesy to them.

FANTASTIC PLACE TO STAY

WOW!!!! Was the first thing my wife and i said when we first walked in. Everything we needed to have a great time was provided. From beach towels to buggy boards. We couldn't believe it. We stayed for 1 week at the end of May to first of June. We had our own parking space and the place was completly quiet after 9:00 pm. I have read what other have had to say about the place but our stay completly surpasses thier coments. Our kids set up the trip for us and we had no idea what to exspext,it was super clean and in a nice area and just as its pictured. We highly recomend this rental.

We spent a great week at the Emerald Suite. It was
very comfortable and very well maintained. It's a
terrific location for everything on the North Shore
and we even spent a couple of days on the other
side of the island which was very manageable. It
felt really easy to be there. Restaurants were
nearby but when we felt like just crashing the
kitchen is well equipped.
