Escape to this cozy, tastefully decorated new log home that features two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and a loft. Relax in the hot tub on the deck while you listen to the nearby stream and take in the breathtaking views of the Smoky Mountains. Overlooking the Maggie Valley Country Club area, this home includes the following amenities: Queen bed, full bed, queen sleeper sofa, full futon, two queen air beds, washer, dryer, dishwasher, disposal, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, blender, and a fully equipped kitchen. All linens/towels included. It also has central air and heat, a freestanding gas log stove, ceiling fans, satellite television, VCR/DVD, AM/FM/CD player, telephone and gas barbecue grill. The home features oak hardwood floors and cabinets. Completed in December 2003, this smoke-free, pet-free log home has it all. The cabin has wireless internet, and there is DirectTV in three locations. No pets please.

It is located near Cataloochie Ski Resort, Blue Ridge Parkway, golfing, horseback riding, white water rafting, and hiking. The Appalachian Trail, Great Smoky Mountain Railway, gem mining, cave exploration, Grandfather Mountain, Biltmore Estate, Dollywood, Cherokee Indian Reservation, shopping, antiquing, fishing, swimming, museums, waterfalls, and many historical sights, including nearby Cold Mountain from which the novel and movie are based, are all nearby. Horseshoe Cabin is geographically located so it is within a days drive of most regions of the United States.

My wife and I visited Horseshoe Cabin in the second week of January 2004. We had seen photos of the cabin but were not expecting just how nice the place was. There was all the necessities in the cabin that we needed to make our week long stay comfortable and pleasant.

The view was very nice in the day but it was especially so at night. There were the lights from the valley and above the stars where so bright. There was plenty to do in the area and we enjoyed the many places to dine out.

I am looking forward to returning soon.
