This almost-new home is spacious and bright with an open floor plan and a huge master bedroom. It is a 2 block, easy walk to Pleasant Street Beach, regarded as the best family beach in the Harwiches. Large, double deck and lots of outdoor seating make it great for summer entertaining. You'll find lots of games and a ping pong table in the basement for rainy days. 2 kayaks and several bicylcles are free for guests to use. Private, off-road setting in charming summer, neighborhood. A great location for families with young children as well as couples. This home is fully equipped with everything one could want for a Cape Cod vacation. All you need to bring is your bathing suit! West Harwich is located in the mid-Cape area of Cape Cod on Nantucket Sound with miles of ocean and freshwater beaches. The Cape Cod Rail Trail for bicycling runs through the town, and there are well over 600 acres of open space and conservation lands for walking, jogging and bird watching. Launch a kayak or boat around the corner from the house on the Herring River or on the 743 acre Long Pond a few miles away. Kidstuff, such as miniature golf, batting cages and go-go carts, is just minutes away as are restaurants, summer stock and movie theaters, and great shopping. Wonderful public golf courses and tennis are very nearby too. Be sure to take a picture of Harwich's Wychmere Harbor, one of the world's most photographed harbors.

Deceptively large, and immaculately maintained. Furnishings are a cut above the cheap pieces that one usually finds in Cape Cod rental properties. Walk to the beach isn't exactly "easy", as busy Rt. 28 must be crossed, and with several small children this can be challenging. However, a 2 minute drive gets you there. House itself is also on a fairly busy street with relatively fast-moving traffic. Taking everything into account would definitely reccomend.
Owner's Response: I appreciate the reviewer's comments but must correct his information about our location. We are located south of Rt.28. The road that needs to be crossed to reach the beach is Lower County Rd. We are also set down a quite a long drive way off the street.
