Our delightful cottage in Cape Porpoise, Kennebunkport is bright and welcoming. Located on a dead end street we are secluded but close to everything. The cottage is two stories with 12 stairs up to the second floor, where you'll find the master bedroom which has a queen-sized bed with sliders to a deck overlooking the cove. There are custom bunk beds in the smaller bedroom. Downstairs, the living room has a Sealy sectional sleep sofa and wood burning stove. Sliders take you out to a fenced-in yard with brick patio equipped with table/chairs and Weber grill. There are ceiling fans throughout the cottage and baseboard heating. A large modern eat-in kitchen and bath with shower complete the picture. Our cottage has a Right of Way to Sampson Cove, with ocean access. Here you will find our kayaks. Included in the rental is a tandem kayak with paddles and adult PFDs. Cape Porpoise harbor has many islands to explore.

Location: Southern Coast of Maine < Maine < USA

Nearest Airport: Portland, ME at 45 Miles
Nearest Motorway: 0.1 at 8 Miles
Nearest Beach: beach at 2 Miles
Kayak the sheltered waters of Sampson Cove or paddle out to Cape Porpoise Harbor. Take a short stroll to the picturesque fishing village where Bradbury Brother's offers groceries, liquor, post office and video rental. Cape Porpoise offers restaurants, shops, galleries, as well as a beautiful harbor, all within walking distance. The Pier, with a great view of Goat Island Lighthouse, is 3/4 miles distant and makes for a good walk. It's a short drive or bike ride Goose Rocks Beach. Summer parking permits are available to renters at the Police Station.

Kayak the Harbor: Paddle in our kayak ! You'll find the kayak at the waters edge for easy access. Paddle out to the harbor islands where there are secluded beaches or to Goat Island Lighthouse to see the site up close or over to Goose Rock Beach if you've paddled in the past. All equipment included.

Cape Porpoise : Our village is in Kennebunkport but far from the crowds. It is a small community of lobstermen and locals where people remember you and always say hello. It is a 5 minute walk, along the sidewalk on Rt 9, to the village center. Many people come to eat at Nunan's but there are other restaurants like The Wayfarer (BYOB) and the Captain's Table. You can walk to the peir which is a 3/4 mile walk or ride your bike. Here you'll find the CP lobster co-op, The Pier Fish House (clam shack) and Pier 77 a fine dining restaurant and pub downstairs. The view of the lighthouse is spectactuar as are the sunsets

A great cozy place to stay. It's just a walk away from some great places, but far enough away from the noise of Kennebunkport. I'm looking forward to coming here again.

A Charming Spot

This is a charming cottage, close to the tidal cove as advertised. We took a wonderful tandem kayak ride out into Cape Porpoise Harbor at high tide -- what fun! Kennebunkport is about 3 miles away with lots of shops and restaurants. Antiquers delight. The cottage is within walking distance to all of Cape Porpoise and the fall colors are fabulous this time of year!

Adorable cottage

This cottage was even more delightful than expected.
Nestled on a tidal cove and a dead end street, it's a little
piece of heaven!. Quiet and beautiful are the surroundings, yet it's not too far from access to a general
store and the town of Kennebunkport itself. We just
loved the setup. The cottage is cuter than described
in original writeup and larger than the pictures make it look. It's great for 4-5 people ... we never felt
too confined. The property was very nice and well maintained and the cottage itself was spotless. I would recommend this to anyone. My husband and I were with
my daughter and her boyfriend (both 18 year olds) and
they loved the place. We have been to Maine many times, we only wish we had looked into cottage rentals
sooner. They are so much better than staying in a
hotel room. The owner is wonderful to work with and went out of her way to be accommodating to us. We were certainly sad to have to leave. We would definitely come back again!!

Great Maine rental!

We stayed only for a weekend and had a great time. The cottage was extremly clean and in a great location. Our dogs loved the fenced in backyard!
