We are minutes away from Dupont State Forest home to three magnificent waterfalls. Hiking and mountain biking trails abound. Try fly fishing on the Davidson River, hike the trails at Dupont, Pisgah National Forest or Holmes State Forest. Explore the mountains on the Blue Ridge Parkway, or go out on the town in Historic Hendersonville or Asheville. Have a thrill at Sliding Rock, a natural water slide. There is so much to do and see!

  • Up to two dogs are acceptable with prior approval. There is a $100 refundable deposit required for the first dog and a $50 non-refundable charge for the second dog.

Within easy reach of sights and activities.: For the active vacationer, there are myriad chioces for mountain and road biking, hiking, kayaking, and other outdoor fun. Check out Pisgah National Forest, Dupont State Forest, and Holmes educational forest. All are less than 15 minutes away. There are wonderful places to visit such as the Biltmore Estate, the North Carolina Arboretum, the Cradle of Forestry, the North Caolina State Theater at Flat Rock, and Chimney Rock. All are less than a hour away. Historic Hendersonville offers a small town flavor with a restored and vibrant Main Street where you will find lots of unique shops, galleries, and restaurants. Asheville (50 minute drive) offers great shopping, art, and cultural activities.

A cabin getaway in the mountains

A beautiful cabin set in a picturesque mountain setting. This vacation was a dream getaway for the two of us. The cabin was decorated wonderfully and had a very homey, rustic feel to it. The owner/operators of this slice of heaven were polite, courteous, attentive to any problems we had. though i cannot think of one. They are very pet-friendly, which was nice as we own a rather large German Shepard and he is not welcome at many places. We were close enough to the town for any of our shopping needs, yet we from our enclosed porch we never heard the sounds of civilization. There are many, many tourist attractions to see, all within a short drive. We highly recommend The Biltmore Estate. So for beautiful scenery, quite cozy nights, and an all around enjoyable vacation, I would recommend this place.
Owner's Response: This couple stayed at the cabin just as our chainsaw sculptor began work. They kindly allowed the artist, Mountain Dan, to use their dog as a model for one of the figures.
