The house is truly a secluded Mountain Retreat. Nestled on two acres at the base of a mountain, it has a large yard surrounded by state land, with a whole mountain for a back yard. Your only neighbors are the animals of the woods, yet you are only two miles from the village of Phoenicia, NY. It is a five room ranch with a full kitchen and full bath. There are two bedrooms and a loft, all with full/double beds. There is a nice fireplace and sun porch. Outside there is a open side deck and a covered back porch to enjoy the mountain air.

The Phoenicia / Woodstock area has a reputation for its Art, Music and Festivals. The surrounding area has many fine restaurants to suit various tastes and pocketbooks and a wonderful selection of craft and antique shops. In the winter we have Belleayre, Plattekill, Hunter and Windham all close by for downhill and cross country skiing, snowboarding and snowtubing. In the summer we have the Esopus Creek right across the road from the house. It offers some of the finest trout fishing in New York. The Esopus is also famous for its Tubing, it's a great way to enjoy the summer heat. Belleayre Park and Wilson State Park offer lake swimming with lifeguards for your family's safety. At the house you have a whole mountain for a backyard. Fill a backpack and take a hike in the woods, trail starts right out the back door.

We had a great time, traveled around the neat nearby towns, went snow mobiling in Tannersville, and spotted a whitetail deer in the driveway, enjoyed the fireplace and views of the Esopus River. From former New Yorkers who transplanted to Florida 25 yrs ago who go back to NY to see what they left to begin with....Make sense? Thanks for offering your home at a reasonable price for all to enjoy!!!

We spent 3 nights up at the cabin including New Year's Eve. It is a great home- very comfortable & very clean. It snowed overnight while we were there & in the morning a plow truck showed up and plowed the massive driveway- such hospitality! We highly recommend this property!

beautiful romantic cabin, my favorite cabin in the catskills !!! owners has good eye for details, decorated just to our taste. cant ask for anything more when on vacation.

Very Cute Place

The six of us decided to go snowboarding at the nearby Belleayre Mountain and we so glad we found this cabin. It was very cozy and clean. The location is close to restaurants and adventure! Paul and Cheryl were very accomodating letting us extend out checkout so that we could hit the slopes one more time and worry about packing later.

Especially for the price, highly recommended!

My husband and I stayed with our two springer spaniels, Bailey and Riley, over Easter weekend, which also happened to be my 46th birthday. We had an awesome time! Weather was great - had a noctural visitor, a great big, old porcupine came to gnaw on the corner of the cabin! Hiked along the little brook behind the cabin, the dogs especially loved that! It was so nice and peaceful! Would highly recommend to all! Thanks Paul and Cheryl!
