There is no need to fear the unpredictable Scottish weather here! This attractive cottage in the hamlet of Lempitlaw has the facilities to ensure a most enjoyable holiday regardless of what's going on outside. If it's raining, curl up in front of the woodburner in the sitting room and if it's cold and windy, spend time together in the games room with pool table and air hockey or snuggle up in one of the three comfortable bedrooms. And if you are lucky enough to enjoy sunny weather, then the large well-established garden has a patio, furniture and a BBQ for you to make the most of your stay.
Kelso, in the Scottish Borders, lies at the point where the Tweed and Teviot rivers meet, and makes a lovely base for a visit to both the north and south of the border. The town square is cobbled, and the streets are lined with attractive Georgian architecture. Floors Castle sits amid acres of parkland and offers walks, an adventure playground and gardens just made for an afternoon stroll. Kelso is also home to impressive Kelso Abbey and the popular Kelso Races. Unsurprisingly for an area with so many rivers converging, there is excellent fishing to be enjoyed on the Teviot, Tweed and Jed. Walking, cycling, hiking, golfing or simply touring the borders towns and villages make this area something special, whatever the time of year.
