The place looks great! You did a great job decorating, the rooms all match and are warm and comforable. It is very quiet there, yet so close to everything. We did a lot of hiking, went to Cathedral ledge and the Flume. We wish we had more time. Thanks for everything. Chris
We stayed for a week at this delightful house and would recommend it to Families looking for a fun time and a quality location. We travelled from the UK for the Christmas week and flew into Boston, its a good 3 hour drive but very pleasant. The skiing at Cranmore, Attitash and Black Mountain were fabulous and shopped at the Outlet village. Eating out was just great with good restaurants and cafes in North Conway. NC itself is very quaint and we enjoyed brousing the shops and stores. Recommend The White Mountain Hotel/Resort for dinner/lunch and we just loved The Stairway Cafe for late b/fasts.
I took my family to north Conway for foliage a couple weeks ago and stayed in the vacation rental. It's an incredible cute town home. It's very well maintained, neat, clean and nicely decorated. I have my two little ones with me and found the children's books and toys very helpful to keep my children's engaged. The basement is well renovated for cozy family time (fire place, TV/DVD and foosball table, etc). The location is great too. Very close to Echo lake and cathedral ledge and a short drive to village.
I also want to particularly mention that the homeowner, Lisa, is very helpful. First, she provided detailed information about the house. After our return, I had trouble getting my refund (I did not have a Paypal account). She emailed, called, and did everything she can to help me receive my refund on a timely fashion. I really appreciate her response.
The location of this condo was excellent. Secluded enough for peace & quiet & relaxation, but close enought to town & several area attractions, including shopping. The owner made herself very accessible & available if any needs came up. I have friends that came to visit that have expressed interest in renting in winter for skiing.
My family of 7 just returned from a wonderful vacation in North Conway. We were very happy with this rental. The home backs up to a state forest. The area is very beautiful and quiet. The house was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The room in the basement looks new and this was a favorite room for our teenagers. The location is convenient for accessing the outlet stores, but there's no traffic on this side of North Conway. The Owner (Lisa) is fantastic. She answered all questions and even sent me a list of local restaurants and things to do in the area. At the end of our trip, our security deposit was returned quickly. I would definitely rent this home again and recommend it to others. Thank you Lisa for sharing your home with my family. We had a great time!
Top marks for -
* Location (very quiet yet not too far from the city)
* Space (plenty of space for a family of 7, as we were)
* Extras (lots of great touches, amenities, games, etc. to keep us comfortable & busy)
* Owner (Lisa was very response and helpful with questions. Easy to deal with and the directions on check-in, check-out, etc. were very clear and detailed)
* Finished basement (the hangout/extra space in the finished basement was a big plus)
Other things to note -
* Each room has fans and the windows prop open but during peak summer months, it can get a little warm and stuffy. Just setting expectations..
* Living area is a little cramped but we were able to get around that by spending most of our time in the basement when in the unit
* Follow Lisa's driving directions carefully because this will be hard to find on GPS (even google maps!)
* Furniture is a little dated but didn't bother us much
Overall, we had a great trip and Lisa was a pleasure to deal with. I spent many hours researching and glad I did because the unit turned out to be wonderful.
Since visiting this region many times over the years, this was the first time we had stayed at a townhouse and found it interesting with the four levels. It was charming, quiet, clean and very comfortable with all the amenities.
We went shopping and sightseeing and, since we did not plan to cook our own meals, the only disappointment we had was that some of the restaurants were closed for "spring cleaning". We did discover, however, two new restaurants for breakfast - Peaches and the Sunrise Shack.
Thank you Lisa for letting us rent from you. We had a very pleasant two night stay and would recommend your property to our family and friends.
Our deck is ten feet from the White Mountain National forest. Hike or cross county ski from the back door. Swim, bike, and rock climb at Echo Lake and famous Cathedral Ledge. Fish, kayak and canoe the Saco River. There is also a beautiful golf course and horseback riding all located within one mile. Or just shop and see the sites. North Conway offers every kind of tax free outlet shopping. Storyland, a family favorite, and all the valley attractions are close by. If it is skiing, snowboarding or snow tubing you love, we are ten minutes from family friendly Mt. Cranmore and Attitash Bear Peak. Wildcat, Pinkham Notch, and Bretton Woods are fifteen minutes away.
