GABARUS OCEANFRONT

Located on the east coast of Cape Breton Island, in the Village of Gabarus. This traditional maritime fishing village is 30 minutes from Sydney and across the Gabarus Bay from the historic fort at Louisburg.

This year round home was built in 2006. The energy efficient, insulated concrete form, octagonal building is equipped with air exchange system, on demand hot water, electric heating and gas parlor stove.

The open concept design and ten foot ceilings offer an atmosphere of freedom and tranquility. From the master bedroom's king size bed you can view sunrises and sunsets and the 100 year old lighthouse. The studio, now equipped as a second bedroom with twin beds, has a southern view with three large windows. The patio doors on four separate walls offer a stunning ocean view as well as acess to the second story deck surrounding the building. For those days when you want to just lay back, the cupola at the top of a twelve foot spiral staircase, with its eight windows, 360 degree view and comfortable window seats is a place to view, read or have a nap. The kitchen with it's maple beadboard finish comes fully equipped.
