Set in the centre of the Esk Valley in the North York Moors National Park, the village of Lealholm is just a 15-minute drive away from the spectacular Yorkshire coast. This lovely little picturesque village is full of local amenities that cater for visitors with a post office, shop, pub and tea-room all on hand. In every direction walkers can find a variety of interesting routes through the rolling scenery and often moorland sheep can be spotted wandering through the village and along the beautiful riverbanks. The pretty fishing villages of Staithes and Runswick Bay are close by, as is the sandy beach of Sandsend. The town of Whitby is within easy driving distance and offers visitors a chance to look round the stunning St. Hilda’s Abbey.
