About Bill Beckett
Bill and Carla are sailors who began cruising to Nantucket with their family in 1985. It quickly became everyone's favorite destination. When the boys got older and the first one got married, we realized that we couldn't all fit on a sailboat for an extended vacation. We bought 3Buoys as a place to take the family when sailing season is over. We love to cook and host the whole family which now includes grandchildren so the house is very well equipped-- especially the kitchen!
Bill Beckett purchased this cottage in 2003
Why Bill Beckett chose Madaket
We bought 3Buoys because it reminded us of the best parts of boating life-- serenity, views of the sunset and beautiful woodwork. We even added running lights to the front porch. Always remember the adage 'red right returning' and you will find your way to the front door.
What makes this cottage unique
Carla is an avid gardener and has had great pleasure planning a garden that has flowers all season long. She takes particular pride in collecting the seeds from the hollyhocks that grow along the outside shower and starting them indoors in the spring so that summer tenants can enjoy the towering blooms while showering.
