With its skylights and full-height sliding doors, the sitting room is beaming and bright, and on balmy days you can step straight out to apple trees, a BBQ and al fresco furniture. All four bedrooms are soothingly neutral, but none more so than the master, with its white shutters and pleasingly curvaceous bed.

Lying comfortably in the west crook of the Thames, south of Chelsea, Fulham is languid, pretty and fulsome.

Glossy-maned girls and boys spend weekend afternoons making pavement cafés look positively continental, while their parents partake of lunch at the aristocratic Hurlingham Club – where the waiting list for membership currently averages at 15 years.

A big buzz also surrounds the upcoming Mile High pop-ups, with themed evenings from the Templeton family of restaurateurs throughout the year. Other fresh-faced talents can be found at the Studio 106 Art Gallery, a commendable not-for-profit organisation that promotes the bright young things of SW6 in frequent exhibitions.
