Overview

Brooklyn House Rental Photos and Description

4 bedroom, 2 bathroom home wth a collection of art from around the globe

Sporting style

Waverly Avenue Townhouse is part playful family home, part Victorian hunting lodge. An antique grandfather clock and painted Asian screen are elegant additions in the living room, and African masks and botanical prints share wall space with antlers. And when you’ve taken in this home’s curiosities, step outside: there are plenty of pubs and boutiques along nearby Myrtle Avenue, and in historic Fort Greene you’ve lush green spaces and farmers’ markets too.

Treasure hunters

Your hosts' eclectic style stems from their love of travel, and they're never happier than when exploring outside of the US. Music, art and design are their creative outlets when they're at home.

Great adventure

Rustic cowhides and monochrome nature photographs contrast gilt-framed paintings and a marble bust, and the string of colourful lights aren’t what they seem along the fire escape. There’s a barbeque in the backyard for grownups to play with, while children have the nearby trampoline. Carved antique furniture and maps of the world are sophisticated in the otherwise energetic children's bedrooms, and the master is soothing in lavender, ash and chocolate.

About Owner / Property Manager

onefinestay gives you the chance to stay in someone's place while they're out of town. You get to live their life for a few days and nights.

Booking a stay is as easy as booking a hotel room. And there's service to match.

Nobody wants to be a tourist, so our homes come with recommendations from the people who live in them. For everything else, we're here 24/7.

Why Owner / Property Manager chose Brooklyn

One-of-a-kind, touched by history and utterly charming, Fort Greene is much like a delightful find in the Brooklyn Flea market that lures cool-seeking New Yorkers to this neighborhood.

Named after a lush and verdant park that was once an American Revolutionary War-era fort, it is the quintessential Brooklyn neighborhood. Its tree-shaded streets are peppered with architectural gems, from lovingly preserved Italianate brownstones to elegant Art Deco-style buildings. Art school kids and jazz musicians mingle with stroller-pushing young professionals in the Greenmarket, while creative souls from all corners of the world sidle up next to each other for artisanal cocktails and truffle popcorn at the bar.

A melting pot in the truest sense, the rapidly growing restaurant scene serves up locally-sourced 'New American' fare but also South African bunny chow (a dish involving a hollowed out load of bread, and curry) and Caribbean soul food.

The neighborhood is suffused with an artistic spirit, influenced by leading design school the Pratt Institute and performing arts hub Brooklyn Academy of Music. Just a quick 15-minute subway ride from Manhattan, it is ranked first among the most livable neighborhoods in Brooklyn.

What makes this house unique

Booking a stay is as easy as booking a hotel room, with online payment and confirmation. You get the same attention to detail and personal service too.

Every home is properly cleaned before and after you stay, beds made (we can even do hospital corners) and bathrooms kitted out with luxury toiletries. There’s a maid service if you want it, as well as other hotel-style amenities.

Once we’ve helped you settle in, we’re just a call away, 24/7. If it’s something we can’t solve over the phone, we’ll pop over to lend a hand.

And because nobody wants to be a tourist, our homes come with personal and unique recommendations from the people who live in them – places to eat, things to do and adventures to go on.
