Overview

Brooklyn House Rental Photos and Description

Real rustic

Old and new

Brooklyn’s Park Slope neighbourhood borders verdant Prospect Heights and Gowanus – where repurposed warehouses line the banks of the canal. 16th Street III is a creative space from which to explore both. The rustic and vintage furnishings are paired with industrial features like exposed pipes and subway tiles. You’ll find the living room cosied by an antique rug and cushioned sofas, and the surrounding shelves are filled with books and ornaments. The quaint kitchen is on the lower-ground level, with an impressive oven. And this home’s surroundings are just as winning – there are ample pubs, shops and parks close by, while fashionable Fifth Avenue is within easy reach.

Cultured citizen

Your host has an eye for beautiful things – from gilded mirrors to fine paintings. When not at work, he’s exploring the friendly streets or enjoying evenings at home with his guitar.

Pretty patina

16th Street III spans three levels, with stripped wood floors and intriguing antiques creating a collection of characterful rooms. In the basement kitchen, a well-loved farm table is set for quaint gatherings and the wide porcelain sink adds to the country charm. When it’s time for slumber, there are two peaceful bedrooms. The sweet single with a sleigh bed and an antique desk for writing letters home is at the base of the stairs. Ascend to the top level to find the bright master decorated with worldly sculptures and unusual musical instruments. The slate-tiled bathtub and shower are in the ensuite just beyond.

About Owner / Property Manager

onefinestay gives you the chance to stay in someone's place while they're out of town. You get to live their life for a few days and nights.

Booking a stay is as easy as booking a hotel room. And there's service to match.

Nobody wants to be a tourist, so our homes come with recommendations from the people who live in them. For everything else, we're here 24/7.

Why Owner / Property Manager chose Brooklyn

If you’ve ever wondered where hip people go when they grow up, the answer lies in Brooklyn - Park Slope, to be exact. In this idyllic yet unfailingly cool neighborhood, parents don plaid flannel to push their top-of-the-line strollers, fliers for French immersion preschools are tacked up in organic coffee shops, and frozen yogurt toppings are crafted by Bouchon-trained pastry chefs.

Stroll through the brownstone-edged streets and it’s all too easy to see what drew the cool kids to these parts. Romanesque revival townhouses and Queen Anne-style homes fill the landmark historic district next to the lush expanse of Prospect Park.

The Brooklyn Museum holds court in all its Beaux-Arts glory, bringing culture and cutting-edge art to New York’s most populous borough. The Brooklyn Botanic Garden provides Mother Nature with a stage for her exquisite tricks, from the exuberant blooming of the cherry blossom trees during spring to the explosion of fiery leaves come autumn.

To meet the demands of its exacting population, Park Slope’s restaurant and bar scene is vibrant and varied. Locally sourced 'New American' fare is as easy to come by as Filipino dishes, and bartenders are well-versed in microbrews, vintage bourbons and classic cocktails.

What makes this house unique

Booking a stay is as easy as booking a hotel room, with online payment and confirmation. You get the same attention to detail and personal service too.

Every home is properly cleaned before and after you stay, beds made (we can even do hospital corners) and bathrooms kitted out with luxury toiletries. There’s a maid service if you want it, as well as other hotel-style amenities.

Once we’ve helped you settle in, we’re just a call away, 24/7. If it’s something we can’t solve over the phone, we’ll pop over to lend a hand.

And because nobody wants to be a tourist, our homes come with personal and unique recommendations from the people who live in them – places to eat, things to do and adventures to go on.
