This premium, distinctive, spacious and sunny three level, four bedroom, home is located between the Killington and Pico ski areas! Upon entering this home, you will be able to drop off your skis and gear in your own custom ski locker room! The main floor features a kitchen that is a pleasure to cook in! All new appliances including a jenn air stove/grill. This sunny main floor has a modern breakfast bar, bathroom, separate dining room and sunken Livingroom with fireplace. There is also a master suite with private bathroom. Take the stairs down to the lower level where you will find another large bedroom, bathroom, laundry room and family room with sliding glass doors that open to your private outdoor hot tub! The third floor of this home has two additional bedrooms, a loft area and another full bathroom. Only minutes away is great cross country skiing at Mountain Meadows, snowmobile trails and dog sledding, Winterberry gives you a choice of some of Vermont's finest skiing and recreation. Our friends invited us to join them at this property for a long March weekend and suggested we ski hard then stay-in evenings, enjoying the more frequently rare time together. I love to cook and open only better wines when gathering with friends and I'll admit, I was concerned. Most rental properties only minimally provide for anything beyond the microwave in the kitchen, and since they aren't an actual residence, leave you feeling isolated from the comforts you take for granted at home. This property is the opposite of all that. The kitchen's well equipped, the furnishings are well thought-out, the lighting is soft, and the space encourages entertaining and relaxing with folks you love and don't get to see enough of.
Oh, and the skiing isn't bad either. Access to Pico, the never crowded neighbor to the Beast (hopefully not a religious reference but you never know), is really close and you can easily get a seat in the bar après ski.
All the comforts of being home and more. Spacious and very comfortable. We prefer to cook instead of going out - The complete kitchen and grill make it easy. Three floors and three and one half baths is great for privacy. Nothings better than a hot tub after a hard day of skiing. Hidden from the main road, close to the general store and both mountains. Easy to find and very clean and well kept.
Perfect place to stay. Location is very good, close to the mountain and close to restaurants. Place was in great shape. We had eight people and were perfectly comfortable plenty of room to hang, bathroms were plenty. We didn't use the hot tub but it was there if so desired. Nice deck, plenty of parking. Definitely going back again. Enjoy!!
Your Killington lift ticket is good at Pico Mountain too, so try it out! Pico is located minutes away and is the place to go on a powder day. Hike or snowshoe on the nearby Appalachian Trail and Deer's Leap. This house is about a mile from the Killington access road, and a 5 minute ride to Killington Ski lifts. The access road has dozens of restaurants and night clubs to keep you entertained during your visit. Killington has 2 championship golf courses, and many more are conveniently located nearby. In the winter: Alpine ski, Cross Country ski, snowmobile, sled, snowshoe, or ice skate. In the summer: Hike, bike, swim. You can go tubing in the White River! Pico mountain opens the 'Alpine Slide' in the summer and Killington opens its water slide.
