It is all here waiting for your pleasure on our one acre lot! Our cottage is great for fishing, boating and touring you can not swim because of the mud bottom. We have many repeat renters because we care about your vacation.
From the moment you park the car you will be amazed at our lovely location. The brick walk beacons you into our semi-modern cottage. Granite counter tops in the kitchen for that must have cook, and a gas fireplace for those romantic nights. Central location to the wine trails (within 20- 45 minutes)
The first floor bedroom has a king size bed and a crib, couch and chair for sitting and reading (only available June-September non insulated space.) There is a half bath on the first floor and full bath on the 2nd floor (stairs to both bathrooms.)
Upstairs you will find 3 bedrooms, two with full size beds and one with a set of bunk beds and a twin for the kids. Large bathroom with tub and shower.
Some of the cottage is moderen and some still has that vintage cottage feel. You can find peace and quite from the crowds in several areas. Our first floor summer bedroom with reading or visiting area. We have a reading play room off the kitchen with chairs and a day bed and a large spacious living room.
Most or our guest use the cottage as a central touring rest stop. We are within 20 minutes away from many of the fingerlakes wine trails. Corning Glass is about 45 minutes away. Watkins Glenn State Park about 15 minutes. There are some great hiking trails at Sugar Hill and we have many back roads for biking. There are two public golf clubs within 15- 25 minutes away.
We offer a semi private location w/ wood lot on both sides of home & a large flat lawn. We have a nice fishing spot and a roomy 18 year old cottage-2100 sq. ft.! The kitchen is fully stocked, big bathroom & roomy bedrooms plus we are pet friendly. Our lake front is mud and muck but there are public beaches nearby. Great place to fish, tour or just relax! Linens are not included. Renter must bring their own sheets and towels.
Rest & Relax: Many guest comment on our peaceful setting and the nice fishing. We have people who return yearly and have written comments in our guest book. We are located 20 minutes from Watkins Glenn speedway (via back roads seldom a hassle in getting to the race track).
Our cottage is large enough to visit with family or to get away from the family and quitely read and rest. Maybe you just need some down time, quite time, time for you. you'll love our small community very friendly summer people. Do you want a cottage facing the lake where you can just relax? Take the kids to the park or beach and come back to relax.A good place to read, relax or call home base after a long day of touring. Fishing is good on Lamoka Lake and we have nesting eagles near by check us out!
Things to Do: The area's finest wineries are an easy drive from the cottage. Many antique dealers in the region, & the popular outdoor 'Windmill' featuring Amish baked good, smoked sausage, & cheese. The Windmill is only open Saturday stop before you arrive at the lake! Corning glass about 40 minutes from the cottage, kids go free! Hang Gliding in Big Flats (40 minute drive). The cottage has two canoes plus there is a private boat launch.
