The Cedar Point Farm was an excellent destination for a winter get-out-of-town weekend! It was extremely cold and windy outside (so not much hiking around) but the gas fireplace (and the other heaters) warmed up the farmhouse and it was quite comfortable. It was nice - peaceful and quiet - and a perfect opportunity to catch up on some reading while sitting by the fireplace, covered by a blanket, and disconnected from phones and social media. Hot tub was nice! Also, the Luray Caverns are nearby and definitely worth a visit. Highly recommend a stay at the farm!
We had a great time at Cedar Point Farm. It was exactly what we had expected. The scenery was great and the walk along the river was outstanding. This was a perfect way to start the Holiday Season! We will definitely be looking into coming back during the summer time. Happy Holidays also please have a safe and Happy New Year!
My friends and I used the farmhouse as a getaway for my 30th birthday weekend -- we had a fantastic time. The gas fireplace is lovely, the pile of blankets was cozy, and the hot tub was, well, hot and bubbly. The view from the hot tub is gorgeous and we were super close to the river. The house is cozy and comfortable and easily slept the folks we brought -- the beds and futons got rave reviews from everyone. The cell service is spotty -- which was perfect for a disconnected weekend getaway from D.C. We loved it and are already planning our next trip back. So peaceful and lovely.
Recently, three of my dearest friends joined me for a "ladies retreat" at the farmhouse. The view was spectacular, the serenity awesome, and we just plain had a wonderful experience.
If you are in the market for a peaceful, comfortable and welcoming space, I would recommend that you spend some time here.
Our stay was wonderful and relaxing. The property was wonderful in the summer, everyone thoroughly enjoyed the river!! Thank you Nina!!
Loved our stay at this rustic Farmhouse. Relaxed on the screened porch while watching the deer, bunnies, and groundhogs. I have never seen so many fireflies. It was as if we were watching a light show. Nature at it's finest! The last night we lit a fire in the pit by the river, caught a fish (didn't have the right bait to catch more) and ate S'mores. Loved taking a walk on the road past the cows. Finding the cave on the property was exciting. Very relaxing trip and in a beautiful spot. Could have used a few more comforting amenities but loved our stay and so did our little Morkie, Sophie!
