We have been in the tourist business for many years, we owned a café house for 10 years and a hotel for 3 years and everybody who has stayed at our hotel or dined at our café house loved our hospitality and we hope that you will join that group of people.

This is a 'large' ALL luxury, NEW house with all things needed to enjoy Iceland to the fullest.
Beautiful nature in the middle of the Golden Circle.
We spent a week in February at this rental home and found the accommodations perfect for our stay. The home is quite modern and up-to-date with everything you need for a week-long stay. There was plenty of space for our family of four among the three bedrooms.
The location of the home really puts you close to all of the sights of the Golden Circle. Geysir is just twenty minutes down the road, along with other natural sights like waterfalls and craters. For those looking to cook your own meals, there is a small store right down the road, and a larger supermarket only twenty-five minutes away.
The home is also quite private and quiet. A great place to get away.
And, yes, we saw the northern lights there on our second night.
We couldn't have been happier with our visit to Iceland, and a large part of that was the accommodation.
Rakel and Martha provided good information before we arrived, and were on hand to meet us at a designated point on our way from the airport. We didn't have any need for their help after the welcome, and weren't bothered at any point.
This is a lovely house, immaculately presented and possessing all of the modern conveniences you could want.
We spent most of our time out and about exploring Iceland, but it is always nice to be able to come back, relax and recuperate in nice surroundings. The bathroom is large and clean and the hot water is delivered quickly. The kitchen is well appointed with a particularly nice coffee machine. Wifi was excellent and the bed warm and comfortable.
The location is excellent too. It is a lot more convenient to the most popular (Golden Circle) attractions. It's also not particularly far (90 minutes drive) to Reykjavik.
During our week in Iceland. First day we arrived late and saw the Aurora (that was the only night which was clear of clouds). Second day we drove the 5 hours each way to see Jökulsárlón. Third day we spent at Blue Lagoon including a lovely dinner. Fourth day we did Geysir and Gullfoss. Fifth day we did Reykjavik city including lunch and dinner at Fish Company. Last day we went to the Bridge Between Continents, Reykjavik again and finally Fontana spa.
I'd recommend everything about our holiday to anyone.
Finally, hiring your own car is almost essential. If you are going in winter as we did, make sure it is a 4wd like the Qashqai we had.
Had a great time staying in your house, on our first night in you beautiful house we managed to see the Aurora Borealis (got some great pictures). We have visited some sights and always came back to a warm comfortable house!!
If we ever come back to Iceland we would definitely rent this house again, you have helped us create memories that we will never forget.. Would like to say thank you very much for letting us sharing your home!!

Thank you for this great place. The house has everything - perfectly equipped - we missed nothing! The area is great - the weather we think was typical Icelandic.

Laugarvatn is around 70 km from Reykjavík, placed midways between Þingvellir and Geysir – in the heart of the Golden Circle. The shortest way from Reykjavík lies through Þingvellir.
