Colony by the Sea Condominiums are conveniently nestled oceanfront in Duck. Away from the main road, they offer privacy ... yet are in walking distance to the Sound side of the Island and the little town of Duck. There you will find a variety of great shops and restaurants, and experience beautiful sunsets. Colony by the Sea is a favorite for guests of all ages. Wee Duck Inn is a cozy second floor unit, offering great views of the ocean and courtyard. It is perfect for a couple or small family. The bedroom was newly furnished in 2008, and offers a queen-size bed, TV w/ DVD and a full master bath. There are bunk beds in the hall alcove next to a second full bath. A fully equipped kitchen includes all new major appliance and every small appliance you will need for dining in. The large living room allows for very comfortable accommodations, and has been newly furnished for 2009. The sofa has a queen sleeper. Our unit is tastefully decorated with ocean decor and very comfy.

The ocean sunrises and sound side sunsets seen from Duck are breathtaking. At the complex you can enjoy all the amenities it offers. For only a short drive, Corolla to the north and Kitty Hawk, Kill Devil Hills, Nags Head, and Manteo to the south, offer golf courses, fishing, boating, recreational facilities, historical sites, and an array of shops and restaurants. Biking is also a favorite for many.

This is our second year renting the Wee Duck Inn...we absolutely love it...it is so close to the pool and beach just a short walk..it is located in the center of Duck where there is great shopping and dining.....Only a short drive to Corolla or out to 158 for great dining. Can't wait to rent again next year.

The Wee Duck Inn was very clean and comfortable. It slept our family of 5 comfortably. The pool was well-maintained. The walk to the beach was not too far. The owners were very timely in their communications. We had such a wonderful vacation that the week flew by before we knew it!
Recommended for:  Sightseeing, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
Owner's Response: Wee Duck Inn is great for small families, and we do our best to keep it supplied with all the conveniences of home. Our pool deck was newly constructed in 2009, which was a great asset to the pool. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your comments.

we recently spent four weeks at wee duck inn - a trip of a lifetime! the condo was so cosy, clean and well stocked and the beach and pool were within easy strolling distance.

We always love the Black Pelican for food and atmosphere, tho we had good bbq at the Duck bbq barn and superb burgers and shrimp at the Sunset Grille.

There were plenty of places to explore - we particularly like to drive down to Manteo about a 40 minute drive. interesting little shops and restaurants by the water - recommend the Full Moon cafe.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Wee Duck Inn Experience

My husband and I recently enjoyed a fabulous vacation at the Wee Duck Inn. The owners are a pleasure to work with. The condo is clean, cozy, and stocked with everything we could have possibly needed! The beach is a convenient walk right from the condo. The town of Duck is charming. There are many marvelous choices of restaurants in the area. Duck is just a short ride from many of the area's attractions. We hope to return again.

Owner's Response: We invite our guests who vacation at our condo to relax and enjoy the beach and the Duck area as much as we do. Great vacation !!!!

We were at Wee Duck Inn Oct.11 thru Oct.18, 2008. We had perfect weather and as always the condo was great. We love coming to Duck, it is so relaxing. We took our bikes this year, they were nice to have. Great place to stay. We will be back next year. WE LOVE IT
