Nearby activities abound: drive 8 miles to charming Wilmington, VT with its quaint shops and varied restaurants, 5 miles to Lake Whitingham for swimming, fishing, or boating. Mt Snow is 20 minutes away for a chair-lift view of the foliage, golf, downhill skiing, health spa, etc. Several nearby farms offer horseback riding and the Marlboro Music Festival is a 7 mile drive. Many other cultural and entertaining activities within a short distance. This is a private, romantic, special place.

If you want to get away from it all, this is the right place. Private, with the freedom of the Green Mountains around you. The owners are very accommodating and there are seriously no hassles. Also close enough to Brattleboro for all you need, yet far away enough to make you feel your are truly getting away from it all. We took our two small sons, and they had a blast playing in the woods and roasting marshmallows every night! Wish we could've stayed longer.

Our stay was romantic and the cabin was exactly as we could have hoped for it - secluded and comfortable, with a little magic about it.

The owners were very friendly - invited us - let us use their phone, mailed us back clothes we left behind ...

What can I say more ... It is rare that reality conforms to expectations ...

Romantic Cottage in the Woods

If you like to get out of town for a couple of days - that's your place. There is a double bed on the gallery under the roof, a separate single bed on the first floor and a sofa that can be used as a bed as well. The kitchen is fully equipped; you can even bake a cake if you want. We enjoyed having our coffee at the terrace overlooking the property of the owners. The nearby woods are perfect for long or shorter walks. Just a few minutes by car there are wonderful lakes and nice little towns with charming restaurants and antique stores.

A beautiful charming rustic cabin in the woods

If you love getting away from it all, this is the perfect place. No distractions, just hang out and relax. There are trails to go hiking on and a fire pit to roast marshmallows. If you love to read, it is peaceful. The deck is a big plus to bbq on, lay in the sun or just relax and enjoy nature and all its sounds. The owners are wonderful people who keep a well maintained house and property. There is plenty to do in nearby Wilmington or Mount Snow like shopping and eating at many restaurants. There is fishing nearby, horseback riding and a lake to swim, boat or just relax at. I would definitely recommend this rental.
