Photos and Description of the Highlands vacation house rental Six bedroom, four bathroom with den and loft. Sleeps 16

Perfect for family reunions. This 4 year old 6 BR, 4 BA, passive-solar lodge is naturally cool in summer and warm in the winter. Large open floor plan with center-island kitchen, living room, dining room, breakfast area, den, large loft, large laundry room, screened porch, and deck with charcoal grill. Five BRs share adjoining baths. One BR has a nearby bath, and is on the main level with no stairs necessary for our low mobility guests. Loft has: Bunk beds for 2 and a trundle bed for 2. Located at the end of a dirt-road cul-de-sac, our backyard borders the Nantahala National Forest. Hiking paths lead from the property to the Chatooga River and its forest-service Trail. Outside are cleared woods, hammock, swings, fort, and miscellaneous trails. One neighbor in sight - everything else is woods. If you want a relaxing, woods experience, this is for you.

Abundant restaurants, shopping, golf, hiking, canoeing, kayaking, biking, waterfalls, etc. Near the end of Garnet Hill Lane, specific directions will be sent upon inquiry. Close to lakes and ski slopes.

Satellite TV & WiFi: Hammock, kids fort and Campfire Ring outside. Two special 'kids caves' inside (small rooms under the stairs etc that the small kids love). Please contact me for more photos and information.

The Area: There are two wonderful nearby resort towns: Cashiers and Highlands. Each are an easy 20 minute drive from the house. They have wonderful restaurants and shopping. Ski Resorts are approx. 40 minutes away (Sky Valley & Sapphire Valley). Golf Courses are nearby also, the closest being High Hampton. Many hiking trails and waterfall hikes nearby, including a wonderful hike along the Chattooga River which starts at our front door. Flyfishing, mountain biking and whitewater rafting are also very popular in the area. Contact me for a complete list of things to do in the area.
