In 2005 Waterford is host to the Tall ships which will be a spectacular occasion with over 100 ships sailing by Dunmore to Waterford harbour. ( week 2nd - 9th July)

There is also Mount Juliet, the host of the Irish Open for three years which is 30 miles away. Dunmore East Golf Course is just 3 minutes drive from the villa. The views from this course are unbelievable and the atmosphere in the clubhouse is casual and friendly . Faithlegg. Tramore, Waterford and Waterford Castle all within 20 minute drive from Dunmore.
Green fees are very reasonable and it is a long and challenging course. Waterford Castle Golf Club is situated on an island in the river Suir. This course is just 8 miles from the villas and is in excellent condition all year round. Faithlegg Golf Course is just 5 miles from Dunmore. It is a beautiful course with views all round of the river. Tramore Golf Course is a championship course with lush fairways and beautiful greens. Well worth a visit! Waterford Golf Course is situated on a hill overlooking Waterford city. This is a really lovely course with some very interesting holes.
Golf:
Two Golf Classics are held in Dunmore each year - one in Spring and one in Autumn. Played on 4 of the excellent courses in the area the Competitors then come back to the Village to wine ,dine and sleep. Early booking is advisable as they are booking up earlier each year!
