Local Amenities And Things To Do.: We're at the end of a 3/4 mile private road, see and hear no one. 2200' high with close-by views of 3500 foot peaks. Our area of the Catskill Park includes the high peaks for walking and mild to difficult hiking. The area also is known for kayaking, and canoes are available at State campsites for rent. Since the area's homeowners are more than 50% downstaters, the area abounds with cultural events, music, theatre, and stuff for children. Our 7.5 acres has both lawn and forest with some first growth tree stands, and we supply snowshoes. We have many top-rated restaurants in the area- French, continental, and Italian, as well as local hangout diners (with great NYC pizza) and Mexican eateries.

A Beautiful Getaway

I rented this lovely studio apartment for 2 months in the wintertime for the purpose of going skiing at Belleyare which is only 10 minutes away. The studio has its own entrance, radiant floor heating, very clean and cozy with all the amenities you would wish for. After skiing all day, I appreciated and enjoyed having a hot tub to relax in. The owners were very gracious and hospitable. I highly recommend this beautiful place.
Owner's Response: In addition to the comments in the review, we have 7.5 acres, at the end of a 3/4 mile road with total seclusion, see and hear no one at 2200' up. The studio apartment is fully equipped and we have wireless internet access.

Relaxing Retreat with Options to Explore

Our family with kids ages 2 & 4 thoroughly enjoyed this respite from the city to explore the simple pleasures of the region, and the warm hospitality of hosts Ezra and Carol. The large studio accommodated our family comfortably for meals and sleeping. Our children enjoyed the deck, grounds, toys and conversations with hosts. Over a long weekend we explored the farmers market in Arkville; Belleayre beach; Roxbury's turn-of-the-century festival with baseball, kids crafts, and train ride; as well as lovely Woodstock. The hosts go above and beyond to make your stay a pleasure while being very respectful of your privacy. We would consider going back for winter fun in the mountains, but any season would do.

Great Little Big Space

We stayed at this Bellearye Mtn. studio attached to a house at the end of a gravel road from Fri. afternoon to a Sun. late morning. The studio itself is quite large and comfortable and felt luxurious for two actually. The furnishings were tasteful and just plain nice. Though we are not hot tub jaccuzzi types we really enjoyed having it and using it. It was really fun. The kitchen was good and convenient to have so we saved on eating meals out and used our money to buy wonderfully fresh produce at the Farmer's market nearby. The grounds are pretty with many flowers and plantings to look at. Ezra and Carol our hosts were informative and very welcoming hosts. If you know the Catskills the area speaks for itself, with something for everybody, if you don't, it's a great getaway waiting for you - and if you want the right place at a reasonable price I would highly recommend this studio. I would definitely consider renting it again.

Great Hiking

My partner I chose this place after pouring over the internet for a few days, this was our first trip to the USA and will not be our last. Carol and Ezra, from the first e-mail could not have done more to ensure we had a delightful stay. They are incredibly knowledgeable about the local area and provided us with trail maps for hiking, and tips on local restaurants and café’s. The studio is dream with everything you need to eat in, or plenty of places to eat 10-15 mins drive away. We hope to return in the near future and try some skiing.

Close to Belleayre

Our family stayed here with 2 little kids, ages 5 and 6, for 3 nights. We picked this place as it was close to Belleayre and it was our first season skiing together as a family. It was also the kids' first time in a hot tub and after a full day of skiing, they looked forward to soaking in it just as much as we did!! There were plenty of great restaurants that were recommended to us by the owners so we picked one and had an early dinner since Belleayre closes at 4:00pm. Dinner went smoothly as we were all tired and looked forward to returning back to soaking in the hot tub. Afterwards the kids crashed while watching cartoons on the queen aerobed and it was perfect as we were able to get up early and hit the slopes again! The very gracious owners provided some games and puzzles for our kids which kept them occupied when we were packing to leave on our last day. We are glad that we will be able to add this warm and comfy experience as one of the most relaxing onto our family adventures for years to come!! And this was for a SKI weekend with little kids!!
