|Minimum Stay||2 nights|
A very private cabin on a beautiful three and four-tenths acre piece of property along Stover Creek and a large branch is available for weekend getaways or perhaps longer. The secluded screened porch with a luxury hot tub alcove facing the woods has the sounds of rushing water and wildlife singing to you every night.
Two full bedrooms, large loft and sofa beds provide total possible sleeping for up to 6 people. Two large bathrooms and a washer and dryer provide all the comforts of home. The kitchen is well stocked and appointed including a dishwasher and gas range and stove.
Of course there is satellite TV, stereo, and central heat and air. But the atmosphere from a real wood burning stone fireplace makes it feel like camping without 'roughing it.' Incidentally, there is plenty of firewood.
This wonderful retreat is in the Blue Ridge Wildlife Management Area of the Chattahoochee National Forest, but is still only an hour and a half drive from Atlanta.
There is no end of fun things to do in this area. Hiking abounds: the Benton MacKaye and the Appalachian Trails heads are less than 15 minutes away on Springer Mountain, and there are numerous other trails all close by that lead to waterfalls and spectacular mountain views. Fishing opportunities in trout streams and in area mountain lakes are also plentiful and cater to all skill levels. Enjoy the canoeing and tubing on the Cartecay and Toccoa rivers, and challenging white water rafting is a short drive away. Mountain bike trails and horseback riding are also easy to find and just minutes away.
If you're not quite so energetic, you'll find the beautiful downtown area of Ellijay less than 15 minutes away. Ellijay has numerous antique shops and art galleries and small eateries. Ellijay is host to an apple festival in October, but the numerous orchards are open all year long and have tours, some offer hayrides for the kids. Old-fashioned train rides along the Toccoa River or a visit to an ancient American Indian site can make for a relaxing time in the mountains. The area is rich with history, and a short drive to Dahlonega will offer an adventure into the past where the first gold rush in the United States occurred.
The mountains of north Georgia are not touristy or trashy. The people are pleasant with character and culture. You’ll become a part of this place, if you want to, and then you’ll want to return to your second 'home' again and again.

I am an fly fisherman and hiker and throw pottery which I sell at art festival in the area. Please feel free to ask me for some good fishing areas for your particular skill level when you reserve my cabin in the north Georgia mountains.
The Owner purchased this cabin in 2005
This is a very private and special place that lowers my heart rate every time I make that turn off the main road on my way there.
I have the creek all to myself and don't have to share, the kitchen is easy to cook in, and the hot tub releases the aches and pains from a good days hiking or fishing in the many area streams filled with trout.
I had a chance to spend Valentines Day weekend at Eric's cabin and I must say everything was PERFECT! There was everything you could think of in the cabin, the only thing you need are your clothes. My fiancé and I enjoyed everything about the cabin from the hot tub conveniently located just outside the master bedroom, to the fire pit located near the stream! The drive to the cabin was tough but also adventurous lol. Eric was very helpful and was very quick to respond. Make sure you check out the noontootla creek!! I would definitely return for another vacation! This was a must do on my bucket list trust me you won't be disappointed.
Wonderful stay! Safe, quiet, easy to find and drive to. Lots of sleeping quarters. Loved the screened porch with hot tub. Near a bubbling stream. Neighborhood is wonderful. You really are 1hr or so from major forests, parks, natural sites. Has all appliances you need: gas stove, microwave, coffee pot, electric kettle, crock pot and waffle maker. Comfy beds! Pull out couch in upstairs room and living room. All you need are your clothes. Dogs loved it too.
The property was more than promised. Secluded, quiet, homey and comfortable. Fully furnished with every amenity needed and imaginable. We walked in and needed nothing. Never left the property the entire week we were there. We went to get away and we did, to the perfect place. Spent our days by the stream just out the back door, the creek out front, by the fire pit or in front of the fireplace. The back porch is screened in and literally at the edge of the forest. Eric was exceptionally nice and very helpful, and went out of his way to accommodate us with a special request. We definitely recommend this property.
Ideal cabin in the woods. Very nice layout and very comfortable. Great wood burning fireplace with lots of wood on hand. We relaxed in front of the fire and recharged from the stress from normal life. We would highly recommend this vacation rental to all that are looking for a great cabin in the woods.

This beautiful cabin was truly a dream. I visited last week with a friend from out of state and we were just thrilled with the experience. It is a good ways off of the main road but that is what we loved about it. We never even saw another car, much less people. The cabin is exceptionally well stocked with everything you could possibly need, from the spices and oils in the kitchen to the Advil and Aleve in the bathroom cabinet. Eric was incredibly nice and accommodating, even changing the date for us when we needed it changed. This was our third trip in two years to the area and our favorite as well. Highly recommend. We will be back, Eric. And thanks again for everything!
My wife, our dog, and I had an very relaxing vacation at this beautiful, and extremely well-appointed cabin. Sitting on the front porch rocking chairs, soaking in the hot tub, and taking a quick, cool, dip in the back creek was very enjoyable. All the owners said about this lodging was accurate, and more so. Attractions and eating places were nearby, the property was immaculate, and the owner checked in with us to make sure all was OK. I hope to return in the fall, and would, definitely, recommend this property.
