Experience Coastal Maine at its best-The Captain York House on Bailey Island. This turn-of-the century house is the former residence of Maine fisherman/lobsterman, Captain Charlie York. The house, fully updated and furnished throughout with antiques and other interesting pieces with your comfort in mind, has four upstairs bedrooms, living room, family room and dining room in the Main House, with spectacular views throughout. Newly updated kitchen. The House can also be rented as a spacious seven-bedroom getaway. Enjoy privacy in the four bedroom main house and also rent the adjoining three bedroom cottage. They share no common walls, but can be joined through a common entrance. Enjoy views of the Sound, its sailboats and lobster boats. Watch the fabulous sunsets each evening, right from the living or family rooms or from deck and lawn chairs. Bask in the view of the open ocean and breath in the salt air, watching lobstermen work. Walk to beach and Giant Stairs.

Historical Bath, Brunswick, and the rest of Coastal Maine and all its attractions are just a short drive away. Freeport and L.L. Bean are also just a quick drive from Bailey Island.
