Cape Royale Resort is on the western shores of Lake Livingston within the Sam Houston National Forest in Texas hill country 70 miles north of Houston Intercontinental Airport with marina, pool, tennis, club house, and 18 hole golf course bordering the lake. 24 hour manned security entrance leads to Cape Royale Resort. The house built in 1998, is brick with vaulted ceiling Great Room and large windows viewing Royale Greens Park and the Lake. Sandy beach is part of the park. This is a Woodlands development. A Master Suite is upstairs with Guest bedroom down and third bedroom is a TV/movie room. The home is adjacent to Royale Greens Park offering outdoor green space for games, sports, fishing and picnicking. The Marina is within the Cape Royale with launch, supply store, gas, slip rentals and facilities. Call the Cape Royale Golf Course for tee time. The quaint San Jacinto County seat of Coldspring is three miles away and offers shops, and restaurants. Call or email for availability

Lake Livingston is 90,000 acres of boating, skiing, jet skiing. Fishing includes Stripe and Large Mouth Bass, catfish and many other species for sport. Nearby Coldspring offers antique shops, restaurants, historic church and courthouse. One plus hours to all Houston cultural and sports events, museums, shopping, and night life. Arts and crafts market each fourth Saturday in the historic town square. Lone Star Trail and Big Creek Scenic Trail nearby within the Sam Houston National Forest. Wolf Creek Park, Lake Livingston State Park and Double Lake Park nearby. This newer vacation home will accommodate up to four persons. There are year round tournaments. New management has completed renovation of the Golf Club house with food service and shop. The golf course has receive may improvements and is in very good condition. The home has games, movies, music CDs, books and magazines. There is a fireplace for cooler weather. The many tall windows provide great natural views and lots of natural light. This is a special location.

My Husband, sister in law, brother in law and I rented this beautiful home on Lake Livingston in 2005 for 2 months... it's a quiet community with everything you could want, pool, exercise room, clubhouse, marina, golf course. The accomodations had everything you could need. Close to town for last minute grocery shopping and not that far to anything else you wanted to see. Houston was about a 45 minute drive. It was across the street from a beautiful park area too...

So quiet. Waking up at sunrise, seeing 5 deer strolling across the front yard. Took my dogs out for their morning bizness, and being city pups, they had no idea what these huge animals were. I suppose they thought...They sure grow the dogs big here in the country!

The house is immaculate. Greg is incredibly generous and was genuinely concerned that we enjoyed our stay. Even provided a nice gift basket for us upon arrival. We will definitely rent it again. Soon!

This property exceeded our expectations. Since this was the first time we rented a Vacation Rental we were not too sure what to expect. We thought that perhaps what we read online might not really be what you get. We were wrong. This home has everything (and more) you need for a very comfortable stay. The home and its amenities were all in excellent condition. The owner was wonderful to work with. Our grandchildren loved going to the pool in the morning and across the street to the lake in the early evening. They were thrilled to see 9 deer one evening. We look forward to staying here again!!

My husband and I rented Greg Hyatt's Cape Royale Resort in 2008 and 2009 and will rent it again next year. Greg went to all lengths to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The home setting is private with woods on three sides and overlooks the lake. The home itself is spacious and well decorated with comfortable furniture and huge windows. Deer, birds and squirrels welcomed us each day. Best of all, we felt at home away from home and that's why we'll be back again.

Holiday weekend

We had a truly memorable July 4th in Cape Royale--watching the fireworks at night from the park directly across the street. Saturday morning, we were delighting in experiencing the mist disappear when we discovered we had front row seats to a Patriotic Regatta Parade--all kinds of boats decorated in red, white and blue circling in front of the park. The Lake Community celebrated the weekend with genuine enthusiasm. For a secluded place, there were all kinds of places to explore--nearby Coldspring had friendly eateries and grocery shopping-- Not only did we feel right at home with everything we could possibly need, but we had the opportunity to experience the East Texas nature scenery all around the lake, trees everywhere and the fawns and squirrels in their element. The preparation and courtesies extended by the owner makes this location a very special place to enjoy in any season.
