Stoneybrook is an extraordinary property that has numerous streams with massive stands of laurel and lush foliage bordered and protected by the US Forest Service. Enjoy walking the nature trails with unusual native wild flowers and an awesome stand of trees of many varieties (some of which are marked and identified... one hickory tree is estimated to be 150 years old). The very spacious 24 by 28 feet outdoor pavilion with a stone fireplace is a favorite gathering place for each guest. Imagine a romantic evening listening to the crackling fire with your love, regardless of the weather or curl up with a good book while listening to the beautiful song birds and the babbling brooks. We provide many magazines for your reading enjoyment. You will find many books with points of interest of this area and games and such for children. Provided are two mountain bikes for your pleasure.

The Vineyard with hardwood floors, cathedral ceiling, skylight windows, and cable television. Brookside offers hardwood floors, natural finish tongue and groove pine board paneling decorated in nature wood motif. The Nantucket says it all. It has its own skylight bathroom and is decorated to match its name. The cottage, according to many guests, has more to offer than just being a great vacation spot. It is nestled on 3.2 acres bordering Mount Pisgah National Forest and it is located only 10 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Each of the three bedrooms and 2 baths have been totally remodeled...hardwood floors, cathedral ceilings, skylight windows, tongue and groove pine paneling are some of the unique features. Snuggling in comfortable beds as the Katydids sing you to sleep is a dream come true! Beds are 1 king size and two full size beds with luxury bedding for your comfort.

Better than we could have imagined!

We were celebrating my parents 50th anniversary in Asheville and this was a great place for family to get together and spend some quality time. Everything was even better than described. The house was extremely clean. The owner was very accommodating and friendly. We want to come back and take some time to really relax and enjoy the property.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Wonderful, quaint, cozy cottage

We highly recommend this cottage! It was very clean and everything that you could want was provided. The listing description is very accurate. We brought our parents along on this vacation and the 3 of them really enjoyed the cottage also. The pavilion was awesome! We grilled supper on the gas grill, ate 'al fresco', lit the stone fireplace, and enjoyed sitting around the fire. We truly hated to leave, but hope to return again.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

My husband and I stayed at Stoneybrook the first week in August. We took are motorcycle to ride the Blue Ridge Parkway. the house is not far from the entrance. It is a really nice bike ride up the mountain just getting there. The house is really nice,it is immaculate and very well stocked. a perfect place to stay and enjoy. The outside pavillion was super!.We enjoyed it everyday. We are going back in November with are friends, to visit the Biltmore Estates for Christmas lights. also we booked it for next year. I would highly recommend this cottage. It is truly a home away from home. Thank you Elmer and Ruby for sharing this home to others. Warm Regards, Ed and Shirl from Latrobe Pa.

Wow! Our group of Converse College classmates gets together for our own little reunion twice annually, and this was the first time we rented a house for our gathering. How spoiled we all are now! Terrific food (Early Girl Eatery was superb) and a divine spa visit (cannot recommend Spa Theologie highly enough) in town with this terrific retreat to return to at the end of our days made for one great reunion. This is a property which is obviously treasured: it is beautifully updated, immaculately clean and wonderfully landscaped. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer and visit more. Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Watts for so generously sharing this gem with us.

Stoneybrook was a magical secluded haven of rest for our family. The homeowners have not only met, but exceeded every need. The spacious floor plan was great for our group of 8 and so child friendly.
The outdoor pavillion was the perfect place to cozy up to the roaring fire while listening to the rushing stream waters just steps away. What a slice of heaven!
Thank you for the wonderful memories made at Stoneybrook!
