This historic Nantucket property on Union Street has been thoroughly renovated and AIR CONDITIONED and is an easy walk to historical sites, Main Street, a grocery store, a fresh seafood market, excellent restaurants, and a sandy harbor side beach for swimming and kayaking. Thus, no car is needed, but off-street parking is provided. The house has two rental units. From the entry foyer, you go up to the second floor. There you enter the spacious unit in the living room, which flows to the dining and kitchen areas beyond. Laundry facilities are located adjacent to the kitchen. The back deck off the kitchen is surrounded by an attractive yard with charcoal grills. The two bedrooms (one with a queen bed, the other with two twin beds) are located off the living areas. There are two full baths - one in the master bedroom. In addition, a sturdy ladder/stair leads from the dining/kitchen area to the loft where there are four single beds.

At the nearby harbor beach, you can rent kayaks, wade or swim, watch seagulls catch their food, walk the beach for shells, listen to the ferries, and watch the harbor activities. The island also offers an extensive network of biking and walking paths, excellent birdwatching, the Maria Mitchell Nature Center, the Whaling Museum, deep-sea fishing, ocean swimming, outstanding restaurants, and great shopping in the historic town center.

Great Location, close to Main St. and boat basin. Well maintained property with good amenities. Property is very functional, not the place to stay if you are looking to be pampered though. Owner was very accomodating.
